❤ Kara’s POV ❤
Devin and I arrived in Catalina early the next day. We drove through a Mcdonald's to buy breakfast. We ate while driving, and we enjoyed the drive. I didn’t even feel like we'd been driving for more than an hour.
When we arrived at our house, I invited Devin inside. He helped carry my bags, and my mom came to welcome us when we arrived.
Kara: “Hey, mom.”
Martha: “Oh, hey. You’re here. And you’re not alone.”
Kara: “This is Devin. Devin, this is my mom, Martha.”
Martha: “Hi Devin. Have you two had breakfast yet?”
Kara: “Yeah. We passed by a McDonald’s earlier.”
Martha: “How could you eat that junk food? Come to the table and eat.”
I looked at Devin and shrugged my shoulders as I smiled before asking him to come with me.
