She Loves Me Not

Chapter Two

"I can't believe you're going to college, I've never imagined this day would come..." My aunt Claire said for the hundredth time, she looked at me through her front rear mirror with those sad eyes, she, my mom and aunt Chris were driving me to my new school, I know they're all worried about me, they were all against it from the beginning but I assured them that they can trust me well enough. My mom was sitting next to me, she looked at me and smiled sadly, 

"Things are gonna be different from now on" she grabbed my hand and squeezed it

"Hey Rox if ever you want to back out and like join the convent or something just say so, we can turn the car around you know" Aunt Chris joked, she was sitting next to aunt Claire in the front

"That's not a bad idea, I can turn this car around now, whaddaya say Rox? Hah! I let out a chuckle, things sure are gonna be so different without my crazy aunts around, I felt a tinge of fear and sadness knowing I'll be on my own.

"Hey, cut that out you two! Rox is gonna be fine,  she's gonna do great I know it"

"Of course she will Clarissa, just remember the 3 Bs Rox" Aunt Chris paused

"Bad boys are bad news!"

"Right! and? the stay away from the 3 s..."

"smokes, swears and seemingly attractive men" 

"Why do you still let her say that, she's not a child anymore Chris, she already knows that!" 

"At least I'm not the one who made that up, right Claire? It actually sounded lame" Aunt Claire looked at her with an annoyed look on her face.

"Oh boy, there they go again" I shook my head and laughed

I live with my two aunts and my mom, I've never met my father. When my mother was still young and naive, she went to the big city met a man and fell in love, she later found out that he was already married so she came back home heartbroken and pregnant with me, after that she never got into any relationship, my two aunts are all single too they never believed in marriage, they said that the women in our family gets cursed once they fall in love with a man, like what my grandmother went through, her husband ran out and left them, she got so depressed and became ill then she later passed away, that's why they always told me to never fall for any guy ever!
