"Due to the death of the late general, who died fighting our late king, the council chiefs as well as the present King, his royal highness, King Sebastian has hereby decided to make Commander Silas the new General of the Army and Commander Lucas to also join in supervising " The Royal Advisor read out for all to hear.

"Sebastian" Caspian spoke in a weak tone as he looked at his brother.

Sebastian didn't even mind him as he further went on to adorn the new general with the star of honor.

"This new duty you shall uphold with great diligence and understanding, you shall serve and give your all to the people. To my brother, I say thank you for acting as a replacement for a little hole for this I offer you my gratitude" Sebastian said.

Caspian wasn't pleased, you could see the hurt in his eyes. I leaned in closer to see both their expression.

Two half-brothers fighting was surely a fight to see.

"Who are you and why are you spying on the King?" a middle-aged woman with a great aura appeared on my face, behind her were female servants dressed differently from the ones I have seen.

I was mum as I didn't know what to say or how to explain.

"I ask again, what are you doing here?" she asked again this time, she had her maids hold me down.

"I came here to see the king" I quickly said but that didn't stop her as she added, saying something about no woman being able to go into the throne room and that it was designated for men only.

I knew I was doomed after that.

Don't know what happened next as Caspian stormed out, pausing on seeing the Queen.

"Son, what is wrong?" she asked. Caspian couldn't even say a word, maybe he was too hurt at his brother's betrayal or didn't want to just say anything about the whole thing.

"Did the King give you control of the Army, you told me that he would" she spoke to her son, calmly.

"Mother, what did I ever do to him? Why does he treat me like this?" Caspian inquired of his mother questions she couldn't answer.

"I shall speak to him, myself" The Queen pushed the iron door open as she runs in to challenge Sebastian.

Sebastian raised his hand and kept it on his chin, already looking bored.

"A woman should not step foot in the throne room" One of the court members had brought to notice.

"There shall be a pardon, Lord Caicos, she is the mother of this great nation after all" Sebastian said, he clasped onto the arm of his throne tightly as he smiled, "To what do I owe this interruption?"

The smile on his face was a fake one, I could see ignorance in his sights peeping through the hole while my arms and legs were still held down outside.

I thought I should be released by now since I am a Princess by Royal command, this is uncalled for.

"You promised that you will make Caspian the grand commander of the Army. This was the promise the late King made to me and you said you would fulfill it. You gave me your word!" Queen Mother exclaimed.

She clenched her fist tightly peering daggers into the eyes of the great and mighty King Sebastian.

"Queen Mother, rather than involving yourself in the affairs of the court why don't you oversee the women, I shall make another decision regarding Prince Caspian when I am being put in that mood," Sebastian said with a bored look.

He did not seem to care if the Queen Mother was to yell for a million times to come, what he says is final.

"I shall return to the women's quarters as I do have someone that needs punishing for being brazen enough to peep at the King" Queen Mother said.

She was talking to me as if I fit the description perfectly.

"Do what you must, it is your duty after all" Sebastian gave her the go-ahead.

I was tensed, especially when Queen Mother yelled, "Bring her in so the king shall see"

Her maids pulled me up to my feet and dragged me all the way through as I fearlessly fought back to resist.

I didn't give up though knowing my resistance was hopeless, they were more in numbers while I was a one-woman army.

Wanting to hide my face from the King but how can you when he spotted me immediately?

"Aurora? Unhand her Now! Or you shall die by my sword" Sebastian ordered authoritatively, his voice reverberating through the entire room.

I was amazed at the way he reacted, something tells me he might not be the way he appears though I wasn't completely sold out.

I was glad that being the King's close friend or someone close, can't claim him as a friend, did come with a few of its perks.

Queen Mother had been surprised as well as I was as she look down at me who has been forced to my knees.

"Who is she?" Queen Mother asked directly at the King and he didn't respond. She asked again and his silence after that act of his earlier was already killing me.

Shouldn't he speak up? What happened to "Unhand her now or you shall die by my sword" he did say all this or was it my imagination?

"King Sebastian your stillness will not make me understand this woman, who is she and what is she looking for in the Palace?" Queen Mother inquired.

Since Sebastian has chosen to keep shut, I decided to speak up for myself before things go awry.

"Queen Mother, I am Princess Aurora of Nye, we own a small province in the farther north," I said with my head bent low, I mean I am a Princess shouldn't I look up to see them?

I suppose acting like this will make her see reason.

"You are a Princess?" She asked in a mocking tone, more like she needed to say it to believe it herself.

"Yes, Your Majesty" I confirmed.

"Raise your head child, I need to see your face if it is that of Royalty," She said and I did as I was told, letting her examine my face though not sure if royalty could be written on my facial structure. "Mhm... Bring her up to her feet" she ordered her maids, who hastily did as they were told.

My head was raised high and I was feeling much more confident.

"You have seen her, now let her be" Sebastian finally spoke.

The Queen Mother ignored him and went further to ask me what I have come to look for here.

"Nothing in particular" I replied, immediately realizing that my response might be viewed differently than I had envisioned.

"Nothing?" Queen Mother mistrusted, raising a skeptical directly at Sebastian, she later turned to me smiling, Fake! "I shall see to it that your stay here is pleasurable," she said.

As Queen Mother wanted to leave, Sebastian spoke in a low yet objective tone "That won't be necessary Queen Mother, she is my guest and I shall see to it myself that her stay here is a delightful one"

Queen Mother paused as she turned to him, "Your Majesty, I am sure as my son you know that I will look into every interest of yours and that includes your guest too"

" I do admire your consistency in doing so, though I feel that this is a guest I shall handle myself," Sebastian said

With a sigh, Queen Mother said, "Do as you wish your Majesty, I shall make one of the Chambers available for the King's special guest"

"That will also not be necessary Queen Mother. There is no need in dragging this out, anything that regards Princess Aurora becomes my business from now on" Sebastian spoke and there were a few murmurs here and there.

This doesn't seem right.

Queen Mother left him to his wishes and demands and I too returned to my Chambers which were fully guarded at the orders of the King.

I had sat there patiently waiting to be released and did well to entertain myself but nothing either.

My eyes admired all the valuables that could make up for a good stash that were placed so carelessly in the room. The urge to just take one as mine crept in like a thief at night but I held out strong trying to rid my thoughts of that.

The doors to my room opened as I rushed to see who had come visiting--- as if I didn't know in the first place.

He didn't even bother looking at my face as he relayed his message and made a move to leave, "From now on you shall be stayed locked in, when I need you I shall send for you"

Who does he even think he is? The King, of course, you know this Aurora, shut up and obey soon you will find an exit out of this mad house.

"Yes Your Highness, I shall stay here until I am called for" I spoke so calmly you would doubt the thoughts in my head.

"The palace maids will be here, have you bathed and visit me in my chambers, I need to have a release for myself," He said and immediately I panicked.

"What?!"
