“Are you f*****g Kidding me?” I shrieked as I took up the letter, my head playing and replaying what I just saw. Of all people to screen her, it just had to be Steve Calder.
I stood up from my desk, grabbing my phone and the accursed rejection, before I stomped my way out of my corner office and into the staff hallway. I passed two security guards who just cleared the way as they saw the look on my face… I wasn't smiling.
