What happened next was a blur, and not the good kind. My heart thumped with every moment and the drive to the hospital seemed both surreal yet every second seemed to drag for eternity.
I kept my hand on her chest, listening to the beating of her heart, but every second seemed like it could be her last as her eyes were peacefully shut. From the car to the hospital, then the emergency ward that didn't allow me in.
