Mira's POV
Something I couldn't describe tightened it's grip on my heart as I heard the name. My expression went from confusion to annoyance pretty fast.
“Tell him that I am unavailable at the moment.” I answered curtly, ready to cut the call with the receptionist and focus back on my Grandma who was telling Drew of the time I once snuck out of school. There were many parts of that story that I needed her to omit as no other person had the right to know.
After a few seconds of static, the receptionist was back on the line as she replied, “He said he'll wait. For however long.”
I groaned sharply, drawing the attention of the two people in the room. Drew raised a questioning brow and I replied with a scoff.
“It's Luke, how the f**k did he even find this place?”
