NOT AGAIN

Manik was now highly pissed off due to Nandini’s irritated behaviour. It had been an hour and Nandini was continuously roaming in his room while Manik was trying his level best to make her sit but she wasn’t even once listening to his pleads. 

Now Manik’s anger was on cloud nine and he couldn’t bear it anymore 

Manik shouting: can you please just shut up. It’s so irritating. Now just zip up your mouth

Nandini got scared and she put her one finger on her lips.

Manik: good now sit quietly on bed I’ll bring lemonade for you.

Nandini like an obedient kid sat quietly on the bed and Manik went downstairs 

After 5 minutes he came upstairs with a glass of lemonade in his hands but panicked in the next second watching Nandini crying while sitting on his bed

Manik: Nandini. Nandini what happened? why are you crying?

Nandini: You are bad. Very very bad 

Manik: What did i do?

Nandini: You . You shouted on me and moreover you also stole my bracelet from me 

Manik: oh i am so sorry. But wait what did you just say. I stole your bracelet. No. No. I did not.

Nandini took out the bracelet N one from her back and showed it to Manik 

Manik: but this is- 

Nandini: Exactly. First you banged my car with yours. Then you spoilt my entire first day at my dream college. You also got me late for my first day at college. And. And you also stole my lucky bracelet from me. You are so bad.

Now everything seems on its right place for Manik . He understood that it was Nandini whose car got bumped into his. She was the girl with those captivating eyes for which Manik instantly fell in love with 

Manik: sorry. Now like a good girl finish this lemonade up and sleep. Look now you have got your lucky bracelet also 

Nandini: Aww how sweet are you. I love-

Listening this Manik’s heart skipped a beat. 

Manik: You love- 

Nandini: i love your smile.

Nandini drank the lemonade and slept

Nandini i can’t believe my eyes that you are that girl who’s driven me nuts since the time we bumped into each other but i guess it’s just that i am attracted towards you. I am not able to digest the fact that you are the one. Oh god manik today has become one of the best day of your life. Now i should sleep too but i want that tonight i won’t dream about your eyes.

The dawn arises and manik opens his eyes to watch Nandini coming out of the washroom

Manik: Oh you are awake actually it was- 

Nandini: i know Navya called me up and told me everything. And your attendant came to tell that breakfast is ready so you just freshen up. Okay?

Manik nods his head and gets up from the couch just then Nandini who was going towards the door turned and said

Nandini: Manik. Thanks

Nandini went down leaving a smiling Manik behind

After the breakfast Manik and Nandini headed towards manik’s car and this time without any argument Nandini sat inside Manik’s car which made Manik shocked. Inside the car the journey was going silently just then nandini spoke to break this silence

Nandini: manik actually i wanted to say.. You are not that bad 

Manik: thank god atleast you understood me. So friends?

Nandini hesitated for a moment but then 

Nandini: ok friends

Just then the song Raabta played on FM . Manik was just going to change the channel but Nandini stopped him in between

Nandini: i like this song

The rest of the journey was neither silent nor a chit chatting one. Because their hearts were talking to one another

The car halted infront of the college gate were the whole fab 5 along with Navya were waiting for the duo to come so that they could start their practises 

Manik came out of the car and opened the gate for Nandini and this time Nandini unlike before chipped a thank you. Both of them headed towards their friends with smiles on their faces that even shocked their friends

Mukti: What is wrong with them? 

Alya: strange 

Navya: How are they walking like two best friends? 

Cabir: hi guys so lets go 

Manan: hi. Cabir can you get the instruments ready?

Everyone went inside towards the jam room just then Cabir stopped Manik 

Cabir: What happened last night? Something lovey dovey. Did nandini drank the love potion. 

Manik: Cabir my brother can you just shut up and watch. We are getting late 

Cabir: no i wont go until you tell me the reason about this smile smile.

Manik having no other choice told cabir everything that happened between them. Actually cabir knew about Manik’s Miss N so he was genuinely so happy for his friend

Cabir: but manik isn’t Nandini a little wierd, i mean crazy 

Manik: It’s nothing like that cabir she is so genuine. Her smile can make a dead person alive. I know she’s a bit crazy hai but she lives her life fully

Cabir was watching his angry mode best friend who was now talking like a lovestruck teenager 

Manik: Now why are you staring at me like that?

Cabir : Manik you know what you genuinely like her man 

Manik: It’s nothing like that

Cabir: just think about it.....

Cabir left Manik alone thinking upon his own feelings

Manik: i like her. Do i?

Manik was roaming aimlessly in the college he reached the college gates

Manik remembered the way he got bumped with nandini on the first day during his entry

He went towards the audi were he was forcefully dancing with nandini..

He remembered their first lecture and the way he got to know about her name during the roll call

The way he was finding his Miss N in nandini’s eyes

The fresher’s party and nandini’s song and dance with the other boys. How he was fuming in anger and now he was getting the answer for his jealousy

That canteen incident... Burger fries and Nandini’s sweet innocent face when she was hungry

The way he held her hand in the classroom

Both the times when nandini was drunk and irritating him to a huge extent

When he got to know the whole truth

Cabir’s words were ringing in his ears.... You like her.... Or maybe this is love

Manik: yess, I don’t know about love but i like her.

Just then Nandini came

Nandini: Manik everyone is waiting for you we have to start the practise

Nandini started pulling manik with her towards the jam room while manik was gawking at her like a lovestruck teenager 

Manik himself: Nandini i I’ll tell you soon how much i like you. And this time you will definitely say yes
