Chapter One

-----Wednesday 5th September-----

Stood on the side of the stage, I watched as Ryan and the guys finished up their concert and started saying goodnight to the fans. Smiling, I turned and headed back to the 'Chilling out' area to wait for them.

Sitting down on the sofa, I couldn't help but think of how much my life had completely changed in the past few years. Me and my old best friend, Daisy-Bea, Came over here, to have a holiday with our other best friend, Jack. 

We all used to go to school together after we finished, we stayed good, good, friends, but then he left and came here to be in a band called Love Drug. Once we got here... I just never left.

Leaning my head back, I let my mind wander, back to where this whole crazy thing started...

------Many years earlier------

'Jack, I don't want you to go, Please' Daisy begged as she wrapped her arms around Jack's neck and pulled him to her, I had to hold my tears in as we stood outside the airport, about to lose our best friend. He was flying over to LA, in America, for a band audition. Honestly, I've never heard of the band, but right now, I hated it, It was taking my best friend away from me!

'I'll be back girls' He looked at me from over Daisy's shoulder and opened his other arm for me, Practically running, I moved into it, and he tightened it around me, wrapping the three of us in a big group hug.

'Come on girls, He's got a flight to catch!' Sue, Daisy's mum, yelled at us from the car, but it didn't do any good, in fact, it made me tighten my grip on him... But all too soon, we HAD to let him go.

'I'm going to miss you Jack' I whispered in his ear as I pulled away, followed close behind by Daisy. He smiled and leaned forward, kissing my cheek and then hers. Shooting her a quick 'give us a minute' look, she silently walked towards her mum's car.

'I'm going to miss you too' I couldn't help it, His words made tears burn my eyes and overflow. As the warm water ran down my cheeks, It scolded my freezing cold skin, making me shiver. 'Are you ok?' He asked, as he lifted his hand up and wiped the tears away, Making me laugh a little as he touched my face.

'Yeah, Just... Stupid winter' He let out a silent laugh but was made obvious by the smoke coming out of his mouth as his hot breath mixed with the winter air.

'Well, This is England. Amanda?'

'Yeah?' He kept opening and closing his mouth, Like he wanted to say something but didn't know how to. 'What is it?' I grabbed his hand and held it, feeling the heat of his skin burning mine again.

'I have to go' Nodding I let his hand go and moved closer, giving him one last hug.

'Don't forget about us now'. He laughed again.

'Never'

After Daisy-Bea said goodbye to him, and one more group hug... He was gone and we were on our way home again. I don't understand why I'm so torn up about Jack leaving, Yeah, Of course, I should miss him because he's one of my best friends, but... Is my heart supposed to hurt so much?

*Buzz Buzz Buzz Buzz*

'You ok? xxx'

I looked over at Daisy, She smiled sadly at me

'Yes, why does everyone keep asking me that? xx'

*Buzz Buzz*

'Maybe, It has something to do with the fact the guy you've been in love with for the past 5 years has just moved to the other side of the world!! xx'

Huffing, I quickly typed a message...

'Shut up!'

I put my phone back in my pocket, and the rest of the car ride home was silent...
