AAHIL “Do you want to go to the dinner that your mom’s hosting?” Amal’s head twirls up, eyes wide. “What?” “Don’t look so surprised. It’s the last dinner we have. So, do you want to attend or no?” She looks at me in disbelief, as if I should well know what her answer would be. “Why would I want to?” I shrug out of my coat and loosen the tie round my neck. “Just confirming.
