Taking a deep breath, Mallory followed Ryan. Surely there couldn’t be another thirteen chameleon vipers left. As she came closer to the branch, she launched a fireball next to where she’d launched the first one. Nothing happened. “Do you think they’re somewhere else? The rest of them, that is.”
“Try directly in front of the branch.” Ryan nodded at the location, both his hands holding weapons.
Seeing her mana was back to full, Mallory launched a fireball directly in front of the branch. She stared at the spot. Again nothing happened.
“Do you think the mother viper is out looking for food?” Callum asked.
Fang growled, her gaze fixed on the branch. She took a step towards it.
