I awoke in our enormous bed alone. I finally felt rested, my nightmares quelled with Dane next to me, but where was he now?
As if he could hear my thoughts, Dane burst through the bedroom door.
“My love! Your awake!”
He runs to me and scoops me into his arms. I rub the sleep from my eyes and question his enthusiasm,
“What time is it?”
He is all smiles as he gently sets me on the ground pushing my back towards the bathroom.
