It was hard to keep my eyes open during the car ride back to Soleil. Dane had me wrapped so tightly into his body in the backseat I couldn’t help but let the warmth take over me. My dreams were full of the nightmare scenes I had just been through. All I could keep picturing was Stephan writhing in pain.
The nightmare caused me to wake with a start causing Dane to tighten his grip around my waist.
