In less that a week, my entire life has turned on its head. I don’t even feel like I know who I am anymore. I’m definitely not the same girl I was a few days ago. After the attack, Dane no longer felt it safe for me to stay in Alpine Falls. We were packed and ready to head to the Soleil territory within a few hours. Thankfully, Daphne had purchased me a new set of very expensive luggage. Dane wouldn’t let me lift a finger as he, Elliot and Emmitt loaded the SUV. Dane opened the passenger door and lifted me by my waist to sit me inside. He then buckled me in while kissing the top of my head. His warmth showered over me.
