Awakening.
I awoke in a dimly lit room surrounded by people whispering around me. As soon as I opened my eyes, I could feel Dane’s calming aura step forward. He brushed my hair behind my ear and leaned in gently kissing my forehead. “My love are you okay? I got to you as fast as I could Em, I could feel how scared you were. Did he hurt you?” I could see the beginning of tears welling in his eyes. “I’m fine.. I.. I don’t know what happened.. I don’t know why I passed out that’s never happened to me before.” I start rubbing my temples in slow circles trying to recall everything that happened. I try to sit up but as soon as I contract my abs I fall back in excruciating pain. The pain is so bad I can feel it all over my body. I can’t help but scream in agony.
