Chapter 6 - truth

Hayley pov

After I shower I step out to find a towel, I start to look around and see a towel and rest clothes sitting by the sink. I quickly get friend and dressed as my old clothes are nowhere to be found. I step out the bathroom and there’s a red headed girl tidying up the mess I made throwing everything and that Shane guy. She looks up and smiles “hi I’m Gemma, Shane asked if I could show you around and get you something to eat while he deals with some other matters” she says “hi, I’m Hayley, great I’m starved and sick of being coupled up in here” I tell her, I am quite hungry but I also want to find a way out of here. We leave and she starts showing me around, I was in a mansion of sorts, she shows me around the mansion, there’s a game room and a movie room, hundreds of bedrooms and a common room with just couches and a bar. “ I’ll show you the garden next before we continue on to the kitchen and dining room, we all eat together here so it’s quite a large dining space and it’s at the other side of the pack house idk it’s easier to show you here first” Gemma says, “okay” we get to the garden and it’s gorgeous, filled with flowers and a statue of a wolf fountain at the centre. The area goes on fire miles then I can see trees, must be the forest. As I’m looking around some of the flowers are beginning to wilt and die.

It’s only one patch of the garden flowers that look like they are dying, I walk over and Gemma follows and tells me “the gardeners don’t know why but this area the flowers don’t last as long with the rest, they think it’s something to do with the soil” I hear the door open again but don’t look up, I continue to look at the flowers and wonder what could be wrong if they are being tended to, “I can run some tests at my lab and find out for you” I hear a voice say, then a man comes and kneels down next to me and the flowers, he starts looking at them and touching the soil. “I’m Ivan, this is my speciality, I’ll take some of the soil and find out if it is infact the soil” he tells Gemma and me “thanks” Gemma says.

I look up and around, I see Shane and an older man that looks like him by the door and another older man next to Ivan staring at me. I turn back to the flowers and feel some sort of sorrow, seeing them wilting away. So I reach out and my hand starts to glow, the flowers and plants in the area come back to life, full and vibrant. I then stand and everyone is staring at me. I turn to Gemma and ask “can we go get food now?” Before she can reply “I am council member Jacob” I turn and see the older man with his hand out, I didn’t want to be rude “I’m Hayley” I say as I reach out and take his hand. The moment I take his hand I feel a pain in my head, I look at him and suddenly the pain is gone “let me see” he says. All of a sudden it’s like I’m seeing all the memories I’ve ever had all at once then he takes his hand away. “What the hell!” I yell. He turns around looks at Shane and says “I had to see for myself” turns back to me and says, “ why don’t we call your mother, it’s been many years since I’ve seen her” my mother? How the hell does he know my mother? “I assume you know her number? You can use my phone until you get yours back” I look at him for a moment and he’s smiling, handing me his phone. If I can speak to my mother I’ll take it anyway I can. I take his phone and starting typing my mums number and press call, i bring it to my ear and it’s ringing, she answers on the second ring, “hello” I hear her say. Thank god. “Mummy, can you come and get me please” I say quietly “ Hayley! Oh thank goodness where are you? Are you okay? I’ve been calling for 3 days now, all your friends are worried, said you were attacked by wolves” she all but shouts at me “I ran as fast as I could when they came, I left my phone when they attacked us. I’m at a pack house mum. It was the only place I could get to, the wolves were about to get me” I tell her it’s quiet on the other end then she says “which pack? are they treating you well, I’ll be there as soon as I can” “blue moon pack” I tell her. She sighs then says “you picked a good pack my baby. If it’s alpha William you’ll be alright he was always a decent man, I’m sure his son turned out the same” I’m not sure but there is a man here I think wants to speak with you” “I tell her “okay pass the phone and I’ll be there as soon as I can , love you” she say and I pass the phone to Jacob. “Hello queen Tamara” he says, I can’t tell what my mother is saying but he says “no harm came to her, I shook her hand, I had to find out who she was and why she shifted to a white wolf in the middle of the pack house” a few minutes later he says “of course your majesty see you soon” I hear her shout but can’t make out what she says then him laughing and hanging up. “Let’s go get something to eat shall we?”

Shane pov

Did he just say queen tamara? As in the late queen who died with her daughter that drove her mate crazy? I think to myself as we walk to the dining hall. If she is the queen then my mate is the princess everyone thinks is dead? the one the rouge king wants? I need to find out what’s going on. We all sit at the head table and start getting something to eat, Hayley sits next to Gemma, when she should be next to me at the centre but I’ll let it slide just now. Jacob then begins to speak “ I know you all have some questions but I think we should wait on Hayley’s mother” just as she says that a portal opens in the centre of the room and out walks a woman who looks just like Hayley but older, different eye and hair colour but the features are similar. She runs to Hayley and hugs her tight, Hayley cries in her arms, they then sit down still hugging and her mother looks at Jacob and says “well then what do you want” “the entire kingdom thinks your dead, the king went insane thinking you both were gone, your daughter should be on the throne, she should be ruling instead of that tyrant!” He says and I can feel the rage vibrating from him. “Calm down council man, I’m not sure what’s going on here” I turn to my mate and her mother and ask “what does he mean by you should be ruling? Aren’t you part human and ur mother a witch?” Her mother answers before she can “yes that is what I raised her to believe”
