Secret Investigation

I awoke with a determined expression on my face. I'm going to find out more about Devin today. It would've been easier if he would just tell me everything about him but because this stubborn ghost is obviously not cooperating well, even though this is obviously just for him. I'm going to ask about Devin and his address at the Huxley company. If they don't tell me, I'll just have to figure something out.  I got on my bike and rode it over there. I came to a halt in front of the entrance and gazed at the massive structure. Wow, I almost forgot Devin was wealthy. This building appears to be magnificent. But I'm hoping to find out more about Devin. The front desk greeted me as I entered the building. I approached the woman at the front desk and inquired, "Um, excuse me. Is Mr. Philip still present? I need to tell him something important,"  "Sorry, but if you want to meet Mr. Philip, you'll need to make an appointment," the woman said as she looked up at me. Oh, no. Of course, what did I expect? I knew meeting Mr. Philip would be difficult. So, here we go. "All right, then, can I make an appointment right now?"  "Yes sir, although the next available schedule for that would be next month, would that be okay with you?" Ugh! Next month? I'm not even sure Devin will last by then. Oh, no. "Um, miss, this is a very urgent matter, and I need to speak with Mr. Philip,"  "Actually sir, Mr. Philip is really not accepting any interviews or guests around this month because his son just died, so next month is the earliest I can schedule you, I'm sorry for the inconvenience," the woman said. Oh, no. As expected, Devin's father must be torn about his son's death to even accept interviews and meetings at the moment. "Okay, I get it but could you at least give me Mr. Philip's address?" The woman then started to become irritated. "I'm sorry, sir, but Mr. Philip specifically instructed us not to disturb him, so I'm not allowed to give you his address now, will you please leave?" Oh, no. I don't want to be escorted here by the guards, who look terrifying and buff.  I don't have a choice but to leave. Oh well, I'll just ask Devin's coworker if they know anything. I went to the nearest cafe nearby, which I know Huxley employees regularly visit during their lunch breaks. I'll just hang out for a while and look for someone to approach.  After about 5 minutes, I noticed a tall brunette man with piercing green eyes and a woman beside him who was a mixed beauty with curly hair. Oh, they look like Devin's coworkers! I'll ask them! "Hello, my name is Rumi. I just wanted to ask you a few questions, if that's okay," The two exchanged glances before nodding their heads. Yes! Finally! After that, the three of us sat down. "Will let you interview us, but please hurry up because our break time is pretty short," the brunette replied. The curly-haired girl exclaimed and smacked her friend "Alex! Don't be rude," That made me shake my head "Your friend is right. Don't worry, I'll get right on it," The brunette smirked and ruffled the curly girl's hair "Do you see what I mean? Cass, I'm always right," She rolled her eyes and mumbled, "Yeah, whatever, let's just do this,”  With that, I nodded and began to ask questions. "So, I was wondering if you could tell me about Devin. Is he your colleague?" They both looked perplexed at first, but eventually nodded. They're probably wondering why I'm questioning them about Devin. "So I needed to know where he lived because I needed to give him something very important,"  "You need to give him something?" the guy raised his brow, a hint of suspicion in his voice. "Yes," I nodded, showing no signs of deception. "If you wanted to ask his address, I'm sorry but we don't know either, Devin never really told us anything about himself so yea," the guy sighed.  He stood up with a shrug of his shoulders. "Let's go Cass, we only have a few minutes," He said. The girl then stood up and smiled weakly at me. The pair then left, leaving me as perplexed as ever. I knew Devin said he didn't have any friends, but damn does nobody really know who he is?  This was becoming more difficult than I had anticipated. Oh! I recall him going to A New Chapter; I'll ask Jodie; she might know something! To get there, I rode my bike. Oh, I'm hoping Jodie knows something. I smiled as I entered the library and greeted Jodie. "Hello, Jodie! I know this is a bit abrupt, but I wanted to ask you something," Jodie then smiled and nodded her head. "Okay, what is it?" Okay here goes. I hope she knows. "Do you know where Devin lives?" I asked. Her expression changed from a smile to a frown. "Who is Devin?" Now I'm the one who's perplexed; wasn't Devin a regular here? "Devin, the tall guy who comes here frequently?" Jodie then appeared confused, and then suddenly, as if a light bulb had flashed.  "Are you referring to Tristan?" What the hell is going on? Tristan? Who is he? "Who is Tristan?" Jodie then smiled and chuckled, "Tristan is the only one who comes here on a regular basis besides you," I am super confused. Devin will have a lot to explain to me when I get home. "Okay, so his name is Tristan; do you know where he lives? I had something I needed to tell him,"  Jodie then nodded and took out a piece of paper to scribble something down. "Here is his address; I remember asking him where he was living before because I was curious about him, and he wrote this down," she said as I took the paper. "Thanks Jodie, you're a big help!" I guess I'll take a look at this place first before going home. Who knows, it might actually be where Devin lives. I’m curious though why he claims his name is Tristan to Jodie. Well I’m not sure yet if they’re the same person but if it is, he really has a lot of explaining to do. What a mysterious ghost indeed.  With that, I exited and rode my bike to the specified address. When I arrived at the specified address, I couldn't help but notice how large it was; it's like a mansion! I'm standing right outside its massive black gates, which appear to be mechanical.  I noticed a small speaker on the side and pressed the button to speak. "Hello, is this the Huxley residence?" I waited for a response, and then a voice said, "Yes, who is this speaking?" I've finally located Devin's home! Thank you so much, Jodie.  "Um, I'm Devin's friend, and I really needed to speak with Mr. Philip; it's really urgent," It was quiet for a while, and to be honest, I was getting worried. I also noticed the cameras. It must be nice to have this kind of security. But even someone like Devin was clearly not completely protected. After a while, there was a response. "You are welcome to enter," The huge black gates then started to open. Two servants approached me. "You may leave your bike here, sir, and we will accompany you inside," We then rode in this golf buggy car and drove towards the mansion's entrance.  This is way too much. I still can't believe Devin is so wealthy. That's something I've said quite a few times. But still it's quite unbelievable! We finally came to a halt, and I was still being led to Mr. Philip's office. The servant then opened the door, allowing me to enter the room.  As I walked in, I noticed a large office chair facing away from me. Then a voice was heard, "I hear you came looking for me. Why is that?" The chair then turned around, revealing a man that looks very much like the older version of Devin.  I believe this is Mr. Philip. Finally we have met. I have so much to ask.
