Chapter Fourteen

2422 Words
Aaliyah After that little lunch date with him and his sister, me and Gavin seem to know quite a bit about each other. He graduated from my dream college, UCLA, with a BA degree in Business management. He also told me that he owns two night clubs and is about to open a third one. I already know about his main occupation, but I didn't want to bring that up to him. I guess he is trying not to scare me away. He invited me to be his date for the grand opening for his new club, but I told him I'll think about it. Mainly because of the fact that I'm not too big on going out at the moment. Along with the fact that I'm underage. I even told him about that, but it seems to me that he didn't give a damn about that. I'm guessing with him being the owner, he'll bring who he wants. But like I said, I'll think about it. Right now, me and Sasha are in our infections disease class. We're not really doing much here besides watching a movie called, "Contagion." I tuned this movie out and went on i********:. I see that a few episodes have been released. I realized I haven't caught up with them lately. So to occupy my time, I exited out of i********: and went to Episode Interactive. As always, it tends to freeze and show these annoying ass advertisement. I honestly don't want to go through them but I don't feel like paying for extra gems.  I'd made sure that my volume was turned all the way down so that the teacher or my peers wouldn't hear it. I also turned my brightness all the way down as well so it won't be that obvious. Looked back down and read on into the story. That's basically what I did throughout this whole class period.  The lights soon came on which damn near blinded me. Our teacher, Mrs. Brooks, started talking about some of the movie and other diseases which grossed the f**k out of me. I'm just thankful that we don't have homework in this class. The bell finally rings and I packed my stuff and rushed out. For some odd reason I have to vomit again.  I rushed to the bathroom as quick as I can while Sasha was right on my tail. I made it to the big handicap stall and threw up basically my morning breakfast. "Liyah, are you okay?" Sasha asked as she rubbed my back in circles. "Obviously not!" I stated as I flushed my vomit down the toilet. "Girl I didn't even eat anything that heavy today." I said sluggishly. "Well, have you been throwing up before?" She asked. I contemplated on lying to her. "...and don't lie to me either." She said sternly, "I know you were bound to tell me a lie before you can even state it." I sucked my teeth at her and told her that I threw up when they were at my house on my birthday. I've also told her that I felt light headed before as well. "Girl I didn't even eat anything heavy today." I said sluggishly.  "Well, have you been throwing up before?" she asked me. I contemplated on lying to her. "...and don't lie to me either." She said sternly, "I know were bound to tell a lie before you can even state it." I sucked my teeth at her and told her that I threw up when they were at my house celebrating my birthday. I've also told her that I felt light headed before as well. "Girl, you should get yourself checked for that. I'm starting to get worried about you. Maybe you should leave early and rest." "Sasha, I'll be fine! Besides, I brought some medication to settle my stomach just in case this will happen." I informed her. Sasha rolled her eyes at me. "Aaliyah, I doubt some medication will help you with this. I think this is something more serious and you need to get yourself checked it see what's up." "I'll be fine Sasha." I reassured her. "Alright." she shrugged at me still unconvinced. The bell soon rings indicating that we have four minutes to make it to our next class. As we where rushing, I accidently bumped into someone. I was about to apologize to the person, but I soon realize that it was Mariah, the most bitchiest hoe in this school. Along side her is one of her followers, LaToya, who acts just the same as her. They both make me sick.  "Can you clumsy bitches watch where you're going?" Mariah chided at both me and Sasha. I glanced at her like she was crazy. "Who the f**k you talking to hoe?" "She was talking to you i***t!" LaToya chimed in. She must have lost her mind as well. If I could I bodied both of these hoes up and down this hallway, but I don't feel like getting suspended.  "Sasha, I don't know who these loose tunnel heifers' think they're talking to, cause I know they're not talking to me?" I rolled my neck at them. "We're talking to the both of you dumb bitches! Y'all bumped into us so we deserve an apology." Mariah demanded as she crossed her arms acting all snooted and s**t and LaToya followed suit. I guess it's monkey see, monkey do.   Now see, I was going to apologize to them because they were right, me and Sasha did bump into them first, but the way these hoes talked to us, they ain't getting s**t. I was actually tempting to jump them both, but Sasha held me back instead.  "See, we would if we could, but we'll late for class the longer we stand here and entertain bitches. Let's go Liyah." She tugged me by my arm and made our way to class. "Oh, Oh, Oh..... I don't who the f**k they think they're talking to! Sasha, if you weren't there, I would have dragged Mariah's ass up and down this hallway!" I ranted on. Next time she come at me like that, I'm swinging at that thot ass troll. "Girl chill! Let's just go to class. They're both not worth it." Sasha said trying to calm me down. It took me until I've reached my next class to calm my nerves. All I know is, I hope I don't encounter that chick again. | | | | | It's now lunch period and I am hungry. Me, Sasha, and Sabrina settled on eating nachos. It was the only edible food we like at this school.  While we were eating, me and Sabrina saw that Dante was staring at Sasha again as usual. But this time, Sasha wasn't paying any attention to him. Me and Sabrina snickered at him. "Aye Sasha, it seems you got yourself an admirer." I teased her. "Who?" She asked. I nudged my head towards Dante's direction. She glanced behind her to see who I was talking about. Sasha took a quick look at him, shrugged him off and turned right back around to eat her food. Me and Sabrina had stunned expressions on our faces. "Damn chica! You just played him off like that?!" Sabrina asked. We looked back at Dante and saw that he had a mixture of a frown and pissed off expressions. "Yeah, your boy don't look to happy over there." I implied to her. "That's honestly not my problem," she chortled, "look, if he didn't procrastinate and just talk to me before. I wouldn't be ignoring him as I am right now. Besides, I got a man." Me and Sabrina shook our heads and chuckle. As I looked back at Dante he gave off a murderous expression towards Sasha while her back is currently turned. It's like he is shooting daggers at her and I don't really like the way he is gawking at her.  "Well Sasha, I think you need to watch out for him now though. Dante looks like he is concocting something in his head. So, I suggest you be careful when ever you come around him." I warned her. She attempted to look at him, but I stopped her before she can even turn her head. "Whatever, I'm not worried about it." She shrugged it off. "Okay." I said nonchalantly, but I still suggest her to watch out. Judging by that look on his face, he seems to me that he got something up his sleeves. Something that is defiantly not good. | | | | | I've have just now made it home from school and I am tired at ever. Luckily, I don't have to work today. As I approached my door, I heard the garage door opening. I reared my head to the side and saw my mom's car backing out. I waved at her and she rolled her window down. "Hey sweetie!" My mom shouted out. I made my way over there to her so I can get a better viewing of her. "Hey mom! Where are you headed too?" "I'm going to the store to get ready for Thanksgiving next week." She explained. "Okay." I said nonchalantly. I was about to turn and go inside until my mother called my name. "You know your Uncle Money and your Aunt Louwanna is coming right? Along with your cousins Jasmine and Rayshawn." She informed me with some information I am not ready for. You are wondering where they are coming from: Sacramento, CA.  Anyway, out of all the cousins on my mother's side, me and DJ do not like Rayshawn and Jasmine the most. DJ basically got a problem with Rayshawn because he led one of DJ's girlfriends on, which led them to break up. Reasons why I don't like Jasmine is because: 1.) She likes to be nosey as hell! She'll get into peoples business and spread their s**t like wild fire. 2.) She always thinks she's better than me or some bullshit. She just acts all bitchy when it comes to me for some reason. "Mom what do you mean they are coming?  Where are they suppose to stay?" I semi-yelled at her. I don't mean to raise my voice at her, but she knows me and DJ do not like them bitches. "You better watch you voice with me little girl! And they are staying here for the week. Oh! And Jasmine is going to have to share your room too." "WHAT?!?! MOM!!!!!" "Look sweetheart," she huffed, "I know you have and DJ have a love-hate thing going on with your cousins-" "No mom! We have a hate-hate thing going on with them." I corrected her. She pierced her eyes at me for  interrupting her. I stuck my hand up and murmured "sorry" to her.  "As I was saying, I know there are some tension between you four, but try to get along with them. They are our family."  "Whatever." I mumbled as I turned around and made my way inside the house and headed to my room. I chilled for about an hour or so and did my homework. After I was done, I went to w*****d  and decided to reread some stories. After I got done reading a few chapters, I called my brother to warn him about our "unwanted" guest that is coming here next week. As soon as he answered, I heard moans and groans through the phone. I scrunched my eyebrows in disgust. "Eww nigga! Maybe I'll call you back later on. I can see you that you and Sabrina are occupying each others time." "Nah! You might as well tell me, so wassup?" He grunted. I can't believe I'm talking to him while he is f*****g one of my bestfriends. I hope he is serious this time and not playing with her emotions. I'll beat his ass for that and he knows it as well. "Well, mom just dropped a bombshell on me saying that our Aunt and Uncle are coming for Thanksgiving. Along with our cousins." "Which ones?" he huffed out. "ahh s**t!" he groaned. I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit by hearing that. "Our Uncle Money and Aunt Louwanna." I told him. "WHAT!?!?!" he shouted through the phone. I can also hear Sabrina whining with irritation, he must have stopped when I told him the news. "I know damn well they ain't bringing them b***h ass kids of theirs!!" He bellowed with anger. "Yeah, they are staying over here and I have to share a room with Jasmine!" I revolted. "DJ you lucky you don't live here anymore!" I said out of jealousy, because I don't want to be in this house when they get here. "I know Liyah, but hell at this point, we have no choice but to stick this s**t out." he sighed. "Besides, you know mom will kick my ass if I'm not there. Even though I don't want to see that b***h ass nigga either." He referred to our cousin Rayshawn. "Well if I were you, I wouldn't bring Bri over here. You know Rayshawn likes them Mexicans." I chuckled. "I want to see him try this time. Besides, your bestfriend ain't going nowhere. Ain't that right baby?" I heard giggling in the background. "Stop it DJ!" Sabrina laughed to whatever DJ is doing to her. "Are you running for me? See, soon as I get off this phone girl..." I can tell that he's smirking through the tone of his voice. "Liyah, I got to go." he told me. "Okay DJ, be gentle with her now." I teased at him as I highly doubt he would. He smacks he teeth at me, "I wasn't gentle when you called. What makes you think I will when I get off this phone? The only time I was gentle with her was when..." "DJ!" I heard Sabrina whine at him before he could finish what he had to say. But he don't need to cause I already know what was going to come out of his mouth. "Did you just kick...Liyah say goodbye to you friend." "By Bri!" I snickered. "Bye Liy-" DJ hung up the phone before she could even finish her sentence. "She is going to be walking funny the next time I see her." I mumbled to myself. I leaned back on my bed and looked at the ceiling. This is going to be a long Thanksgiving week.
