Elena’s POV
The day got off to a fast start and didn't seem to be slowing down. Lily, with her notebook, came into our bedroom just as my alarm had gone off.
"Look what I made, Mommy!" she said, shoving the book into my grasp.
After wiping the sleep from my eyes, I turned the pages. Her paintings were colorful, wild, and full of creative scenarios and whirling hues. One couldn't help but grin.
I pulled her into an embrace and whispered, "Sweetheart, these are gorgeous."
Adrian and I were left in the silent aftermath as Lily smiled and skipped out of the room.
