Adrian and Alex left the office and continued along yet another of the many winding corridors. “You can switch on your sight, now, Alex.”
Wondering what to expect, he did as instructed. “Nothing special, here”, he thought. “Just endless, boring corridors.”
He understood fully when they entered the next room. Standing, smiling at him was Jen. “Hi, Alex! Good to see you again.”
The smile on Alex’s face said it all. “Great to see you.” He very nearly gave her a hug, but realized that, in these surroundings and in the presence of Adrian, it would probably be construed as inappropriate. Instead, they shook hands warmly.
