CHAPTER ELEVEN :16th. AUGUST, 2011 Terry said very little during the forty-minute journey and seemed unresponsive to Alex’s pleasantries. He did wonder if this was really Terry’s character or perhaps, in his line of work, was he supposed to be deferential and remote? The journey was only punctuated by the sound of the windscreen wipers, struggling against a particularly heavy downpour. Even with this annoyance and the heavy traffic, Terry never said a word or even uttered a curse. Again, it was a relief when they arrived at the training centre. Terry escorted Alex to the reception area and said that he would return at for-thirty. The receptionist led Alex to an office where he was introduced to Kate, A pleasant sounding woman, who Alex guessed, from her voice, was in her late thirties.
