Jax’s POV I walked up to the cluster of pack guards stationed near the entrance of the quarters. They straightened the second they spotted me and waited. “Double the patrols around the entire grounds, especially our room. Anything out of place, you tell me at once,” I ordered, voice hard. I looked each of them in the eye. “No more laziness. If anything happens again, I’ll deal with you myself.” They nodded. I waved them off.
