He is a warewolf, she is human. A unforfeitable bond of enmity that has been going on for generations. But, does it still counts as a reclamation when you're the one who entraps yourself into the wolf's den?

One is a crippled Alpha, the one that cannot shift and holds no royal bloodline to his Alter. And the other is a human, one who's disguising herself to be a warewolf and comes from a family which hunts them. In order for survival, they must both keep each other's secret.

...

Marlise ignored everyone's piercing gaze as she made her way towards the Alpha with her head lifted high despite an earlier compliment that she reeked of dead wolf. She inwardly sneered, 'Only if I could get hold of this thing they called curiosity'.

"you're all dismissed!", he commanded portraying a true Alpha vibe but the former isn't intimidated by it. At least not until her curiosity is satisfied, here comes that word again.

Marlise followed suit to his order as she made her way to exit the ball room now that they were all dismissed. "Not you blonde, did I say you could leave?", he was pissed. And this time, she felt it.

Chapter 1
The first ball of the season catters a selection of 50 young ladies who are debuted for the role of the alter's ladies-in-waiting and are presented to Alpha Alphie Adornavonte, but five are the final candidate to be of this crippled Alpha . Among which, A Paw is produced. But the Alpha himself has grown rather fond of this same archaic procedure over and over again. Hence, every time the so called she-wolves when brought upon his attention he would randomly pick the one being pointed at by his middle finger. It is a process which is accustomed to happen every year in order for keep safe security reasons, but who says that one would last a month or so? For Alpha A is known for his unusually impeccable temperament, he would curse over trivial matters and sometimes slack off to avoid tending to his duties. Some say it is because of his impalement. Others rather be it, a mouth say on how he his unable to shift. Despite constant failure of winning this warm bloodied's heart, the young she-wolves are still persuaded by their elderly household members to attend the selection with good hope of being the top candidate in exchange of dowry and protection from the higher ranking Warewolves who are on good terms with the Alpha. "I take the blonde as my Paw!", Marlise heard his forced voice but she was caught up in everything around her. Who would have thought that a place like this could even be count as an existence? But before she could ponder any further with this glamorous view with the addition of her mixed up thoughts, she felt a low brush on her shoulder like someone was signaling her for something but didn't want to make it obvious to the public's eye. Marlise glanced towards the lady on her right who kept a straight face but her nose admits it differently, 'you reek of dead wolf'. She shifted her attention to the surroundings, only to find everyone's gaze a'aim at her. She ignored them as she turned to face the front, the Alpha's alter or so she had been informed. It was him seated there with nothing but leisure. He rested his chin on his right hand being supported by his cane while the middle finger of his left hand seemed to be pointing towards someon-... Towards her! An underestimation for laying low. Marlise ignored everyone's piercing gaze and made her way towards the Alpha with her head lifted high despite an earlier compliment that she reeked of dead wolf. She inwardly sneered, 'Only if I could get hold of this thing they called curiosity'. "Everyone, you're dismissed!", he commanded portraying a true alpha vibe but the former wasn't intimidated by it. At least not until her curiosity is satisfied, here comes that word again. Marlise followed suit to his order as she made her way to exit the ball room now that they were all dismissed. " Not you blonde, did I say you could leave?", he was pissed. And this time, she felt it. ... Marlise had just arrived at their camping home in lake vounty. Even though it took ages to finally convince her parents to allow her to visit the vounty, she was glad she made it here. All the keep safe talk for an incident that occurred 11 years ago. She expected her Aunt to be bedridden of how seriously ill she sounded in her letters. But after looking for her throughout the entire house she was nowhere on site. Rather than waste the entire noon worrying about a grown woman who knows what she's doing, she begun surveying the area. The first thing that she did was head upstairs to her room to reload the luggage. But when she got there, it seemed way too smaller than she remembered from back in the days. Time surely flies indeed. Marlise opened the upper drawer to pack her clothes and was surprised to see wolfuf her childhood stuffed animal. It looks like Amelia had placed it back there. She stared at it for a few more seconds and then exited the room living everything in the open. Despite her mood becoming sour, she made her way to the kitchen to at least make herself something to eat. No matter how down you're feeling don't let your anger mess with an empty stomach. She had just sat down in the living room ready to start eating her bow of rice when she heard noises coming from the back of the cottage. She wore her slippers and went to check who it was, but it turned out to be her Aunt with two boys that seem slightly older than her. "Marse! You came?", she charged towards Marlise. "I thought I might surprise you but I'm the one getting surprised, what's up with the guns?", Marlise asked while she was held in a tight hug. "Honey, it seems that your eyes are still sharper than your brain. I called you here because I'm sick and yet all you notice is a gun and not your own auntie?" Marlise rubbed her nose in embarrassment avoiding the two men's gazes. "Since my eyes are sharp, I can tell that you're not sick at all". Amelia pulled out of their embrace, lifted her right bandaged arm and showed it to the former as they both went back inside. "I got bitten by a disobedient cat." "Is it worse?", Marlise asked with a full mouth. "No, not when I kill the little one". "Okay", she replied since she is not a fun of cats, specifically black ones. Then added, "I saw wolfuf, you hid him from me. I thought you said you believed me?" Amelia took a deep sigh, locked eyes with her niece for an extra five seconds then made her way upstairs to her room to take a shower. Marlise just shook her head and went back to eating, no one believed her anyways so why bother. Since the area has less network and connectivity is impossible, she turned on the old television for a short entertainment only got enclosed in the documentary about endangered species and by the time that it was over, it was already passed noon and the sun had already set. During this time Amelia had not descended the stairs after her earlier departure. Having endured a long journey from home to here, Marlise was exhausted, hence, she went back to her room for an early nap. Unbeknownst to her attention, Amelia was pacing about the entire room contemplating on something if she told her. After what seemed like an eternity of walking in cycles, She eventually sat down removing the bandages from her arm. Martin one of the boys from earlier made his way inside, "it looks worse than I expected, cat's got some teeth for a mare omega. Let me take a look". He took hold of the first aid kit and begun cleaning her wound, "The bite is really deep, what do we do?", he asked. "I think it's high time that the girl has her first real Hunt", Amelia underlined. "And by that you mean?" "The coming night it's the full moon, if I don't kill the little one I might end up transforming into one of them and the little cat might end up reveling its rank. Tonight, she comes with us." Marlise is the type of person where by the moment she just puts her head on something, she would immediately slumber off to sleep. But today hits differently, she seemed to have diverted into an immersion of previous lucid dreams from ages ago. Maybe it's a welcome back to the original whereabouts of where the incident occurred. She was kind of having trouble sleeping She could feel her self sweating purposely, her clothes are now drenched wet by sweat and so are the sheets beneath her. It is a moment where by you can look but unable to see no matter how hard you try. She was about to give up as she felt the waters around her get more shallow until she felt Amelia's voice calling out for her repeatedly with a persistent shook. She trembled all over, it is happening again. "Marse!", she called out. This time loud and clearer. She continued,"did it happen again?" "Yes, it did..", before she could finish her sentence, she paused. Why in the world are those two guys from earlier standing around her bed? "Marse, this is Martin and this is Theo they are Brothers and they work for me. Boys, you've already seen my niece, Marlise but I prefer calling her Marse", Amelia introduced. "Nice meeting you, Marse", Marlise glanced at this so called Martin extending his hand towards her, that foreign voice and the way it pronounced her name. So definitely her type. She then heard Amelia let out a low cough as if trying to signal her for something. She had left Martin's hand hanging while she was enclosed in her own thoughts. Marlise, focus, she pinched herself a little hard before exchanging the gesture as well with Theo. But why are they here fully dressed at this hour? She inwardly asked herself.
