I was sitting with the photographs that had been given to me by one of our warriors.  I felt sick to the bone.  The pictures were of two of our previous members, the girls who had tried to illegally seduce me by drugging me. Their bodies were beaten badly.  I immediately thought back to when Hettie had walked in I thought it was the end of our relationship.  Luckily she believed me and once the test came back with the level of drugs in my system, it only confirmed what she already knew, that I had been drugged by these girls so that they could try and fall pregnant with my pup.  The anger that I felt that night ran through my veins now, I don’t think I will ever forget it.  If I lost Hettie, my life would not be worth living.  I tried to calm myself down, but it wasn’t working, I sent a message through a mindlink to Hettie, I needed her and needed her now.  When a werewolf mates with a human they can communicate with each other through mindlink.  The next minute my door flew open and Hettie came rushing in, well as quickly as she could with her pregnant belly.  She ran straight into my open arms, after all these years she knew I didn’t need words, I only needed her touch.  After a few minutes I felt my breathing regulate.  I gently released her and pulled her onto my lap.  

“What happened Pete? It’s been a while since you needed me like that.” concern was etched on her face.  

I picked up the pictures and showed them to her, She gasped and turned away.  

“Is that Mia and Lucy?” I nodded to her question.  

“Who did that to them?” I looked at the pictures again, placed them on the table and then faced her.  

“Their bodies were left at the edge of our territory with this note ‘I will get my revenge!’, we think it’s Raikon.  We have suspected for a while now that he has been trying to build his own pack, a few hours from here.  He has many followers who don’t want to follow the werewolf code.  He feels that as a powerful werewolf we should do as we please with our human mates, humans in general.  He is bad Hettie, one of the worst werewolves I have ever come across.!”

“I know, I remember him.” her voice was sweet and tender, she leaned in to give me a kiss.  I have no idea why the Moon Goddess blessed me with such an amazing mate.  She was petite, with beautiful blonde hair and bright blue eyes, her skin sun kissed, smooth with no sign of aging.  I dragged my thumb down her face, just admiring her beauty.  

“Have you told Andre yet?”  I shook my head, 

“He has just met Cassie, then this morning he was not himself, I am going to call him now, he needs to know that Raikon is a real threat.  She nodded her head.  

“Do you need me to stay?  Chris is with Cassie now till 12.  I nodded my head, pulling her closer to me.  I picked up my phone and Called Andre, I really didn’t want to bother him, but this was urgent.  

A few minutes later Andre came through the door of my office, the biggest smile on his face.  He looked like I did when I realised Hettie was mine.  I couldn’t help but smile back at him.  

“Hello brother, you seem quite happy today.” I couldn’t stop the smirk forming on my face.  

“Yip, life is pretty good,” I hadn’t seen Andre smile like that, never ever.  Even Hettie was amused.  “She is really pretty Andre,” Hettie’s gentle voice, “not to mention sweet and kind.”

“Tell me about it, and strong and amazing and gorgeous, I have no idea what I did that was so good that the Moon Goddess gave me her.”

“We are so happy for you Andre, you and Jacob, you really have found wonderful mates.”

Andre just sat there smiling, I was so happy for him, finding your mate is one of the greatest blessings for a wolf.  

“So what’s up bro?” Andre asked.  

I began to fill him in and show him the pictures.  You could feel his demeanor changing as the conversation continued.  Raikon was a real threat, to everyone in our pack, anyone who wanted to live by the code would be his target.  I finished talking and waited for him to process everything.  

We will need to up our guards and training.  We will also have to speak to our Alpha Allies, let me know what he is up to, anyone could be his target? He then paused.  

“Caroline wasn’t there?”  I looked at him, he was right, she wasn’t.  She was the instigator in the attack on me.  

“I wonder what he has done with her, I know what she did was wrong, but no one deserves a death like this.”  He was looking at the pictures as we spoke.  I had to disagree, I would have wanted worse, what they put my Hettie through.  But I couldn’t say that so I just nodded.  

We spent the morning speaking to our head warrior, and other Alpha’s in the area. Some had already suspected that something strange was happening and were happy for the extra information, a few had women who had disappeared from their pack with no warning, some were even mated werewolves..  We agreed on a date where we would have an Alpha meeting to discuss a plan and move forward.  Raiken had to be dealt with.  I knew Andre was on edge, having found his mate and hearing about women disappearing was making him feel stressed, he had not mated with Cassie yet and was therefore more protective than an Alpha would be.  I sent Hettie a mindlink message to fill Cassie in and prepare her for how Andre would be and what she could do to help him.  She had left us earlier to check on Chris and Cassie after she knew I was ok.  

“It’s time for lunch, I am sure Cassie will be waiting for you.” A smile suddenly appeared on Andre’s face, changing it from stern and cold, he looked so much younger when he smiled.  

He nodded his head and got up from his chair, I could see he needed her, just like I needed Hettie.  We walked towards the kitchen, knowing what we needed was there.
