Chapter 14

Cassie

I woke up feeling like I had had the best night's sleep of my life.  I tried to stretch out only to realise I was completely caged in by Andre’s strong arms.  I managed to maneuver my body to face him, he was fast asleep, looking so peaceful.  I gently grazed my finger over his jawline and pecked him on the cheek, he didn’t even stir.  Heavy sleeper I guess.  I decided against waking him, instead I gently lifted his one arm and slid out, I placed a pillow where I was sleeping and went to my room to use the bathroom.  I had to get ready as I was going to start teaching in a little while.  After my shower I grabbed a piece of toast and went to the room that I was going to use as Chris’s learning room.  All the equipment and resources I had brought with me had been placed there ready for me to use.  I was just laying out my lesson resources when I heard the most terrible growl and things being thrown against the walls.  I don’t know how but I knew it was Andre, I ran from the room towards where the noise was coming from.  In front of me should’ve been the scariest sight, Andre was going crazy, growling, screaming while his brothers were trying to calm him down.  

“WHERE IS SHE????”

“She’s here. I saw her grab some breakfast a few minutes ago.” it was Peter, trying to calm him down.  

I know I should’ve been scared but I knew he wouldn’t hurt me, “Andre,” I tried to call as loudly as I could. His head snapped in my direction, he began walking towards me, he looked more like a wild animal than human.  

“I am here,” I reached out my hand as I began walking towards him.  “I haven’t gone anywhere, I was just setting up for Chris’s lesson.” He grabbed me and pulled me into his arms, breathing in my hair.  I could feel he was desperately trying to calm himself.  

“Let’s go up to our room,” I whispered quietly. “I can be a bit late for the lesson.” He picked me up bridal style, keeping eye contact with me, not saying a word.  He didn’t need to, I understood.  We went to his room, he kicked the door closed behind us.  He sat on the bed, placing me so that I was straddling him.  We just stayed like that till I could hear his breathing calm down.  

“I don’t know what happened, I have never behaved like that.” he looked me in the eyes, honestly shining through.  “I woke up and you weren’t here so I panicked.”

I smiled at him and hugged him tighter.  

“It’s ok, don’t worry, I am here, I am not going anywhere.” I tried to reply with as much sincerity as I could.  

“Why didn’t you wake me? Please don’t leave like that again”  The pleading in his eyes almost broke my heart.  I cupped his face with my one hand, the other one tangling in his beautiful hair.  

“I am so sorry, I didn’t realise.” My voice was quiet but sincere.  “I promise I will never do that again.” I leaned in and placed my lips gently on his.  I was beginning to crave him, his touch, his lips, his kisses.  It felt like I could not get enough, ever..  

Things began to heat up, he flipped us over, him now on top of me.  I could feel parts of my body reacting to him, calling to him.  He suddenly froze, sniffed the air, then looked back at me.  His blue eyes now black, showing Thane pushing through to the surface.  My breathing was erratic, my heart was racing.  

“I can smell you!” Thanes deep growling voice coming through.  

“Ssmmmell, mme?” I could barely get the words out.  

“Yes, I know your body wants me, is calling for me, it’s the bond.” The deeper his voice, the more I was turned on.  Yes I wanted him, right now!

He ran his nose down my body, I could barely breathe. 

“Not yet my angel, you are not ready.!” I could see Andre desperately trying to take back control, Thane leaned in and kissed me one more time, this time it was gentle, controlled.  

“Don’t you want me?” my words were small, filled with hurt and rejection.  Andre stopped, he could see that I was hurt. He pulled me up to straddle him again, looking at me in the eyes.  

“Cassie,” his hands stroking my neck. “I want you more than anything, I want to take you right now, over and over again till you can’t stand.” he gently kissed my neck on his hickey. That sent my body into overdrive.  “But I want our first time together to be special, it will be both our firsts.  I want to remember it forever.”  With each word he kissed my neck.  

“If you want us to wait, you need to stop doing that..” I whispered.  He leaned in for one more kiss and then stopped to face me.  

“I am going to be completely over protective of you, you do know that?” his smirk growing on his face.  “Alpha’s are incredibly protective over their mates, I’m just apologizing to you now.  You are lucky Chris is my nephew otherwise I am not sure that I could lend you to him.” His smile was so cute I could not even get cross or offended.  I just smiled back, blushing.  

“What time do you finish with Chris?  Remember you promised I could take you shopping.” His voice was so beautiful, I could listen to him all day.  

“Around 12, in time for lunch.”

“Perfect, I want to take you somewhere special for lunch then we can do some shopping.” He had the most enormous grin on his face.  

“Thank you”  I leaned in for one last kiss before jumping off his lap, “See you later,” I waved back to him as I walked out the room towards Chris.
