Chapter four

1093 Words
Lunawyn POV After my encounter with Orion, I realized he had tried to harm me, which was a dark side I had never seen in him. He did not even deny that his desire to be with me was due to Luna's position. Lykania became the pride of my father's eyes, and she was given special treatment. It had been two weeks since the event, and no one had forgotten about the drama; members were still spreading rumors about it, and my father despised me for it. I was walking through the chambers when I heard familiar voices emerge from my father's study room. The voices were of three people, and I recognized them as my mother and Lykania. If you asked me how my mother and I were doing, I would not give honest answers. She never treated me like any other mother did after I turned 16. I decided to eavesdrop on their conversation because they had made me an outcast. ""Father, I want to be married to him. Alpha Luciano is a one-of-a-kind Alpha who has achieved great success and respect in Lykon. Marrying him would reveal names and allow me to finally put an end to the rumors that had been circulating."" She said something that made me frown. She is using rumors to conceal her plans. ""That is correct, Lykania. "Unlike your sister, you have a responsible brain." I heard my father say something that touched my heart. ""However, Luciano is not someone to mess with. I can not strike a bargain with him."" He declared, and without anyone telling me, I knew Lykania's face would be filled with disappointment at that point. ""Alpha, do this for her just once. Who knows, she may be more grateful than Wyn."" I bit my lips tightly after hearing what the woman I called my mother said. ""I can not say this if I have not found an alternative. I heard the Alpha make a formal declaration, inviting all eligible females to attend the ball in the hopes of finding the Alpha's Luna and providing the date, location, and attire."" She said, and a smile crept across my face. She wanted to be the cherished daughter, right? The apples of Father's eyes. After learning about their new plan, I left the premises and asked the guards for an update on Lykon Park's latest announcement. ~~ I gazed admiringly at the dress in front of me. I would say the dress was intended to make Luna stand out among the crowd. It was enough to captivate his heart. The gown was a work of moonlight magic. The gown shone in soft silver and pale blue, resembling a moonbeam on a clear night. Blue was my favorite color, and I was ready to rock with it. Staring at the delicate lace that would adorn my body and dance across my skin in the light of the stars, I could not help but blush with admiration. The flowing skirt fell in soft folds, mimicking the gentle curves of a lunar crescent. Without further ado, I put on the dress and adorned it with a crescent moon pendant that gave off a soft glow that complemented the dress. I style my hair in loose, flowing waves, with a few strategically placed strands framing my face. My emerald eyes shone through the mirror as I checked the time to ensure I was on track. It was still noon, and I would surely arrive before anyone else. I stared at my beautiful face once more before grabbing my bag and cautiously leaving. "Who is going somewhere more important this evening?" I heard a familiar voice speak at my back and I turned towards Lykania with a smile appearing on my face. "Yes, darling." She stared at me with an envious eye that I could not help but notice. "You must be attending a prestigious event to wear something like this." She spoke, her gaze never leaving me or my dress. "I am moving out with some friends; is there a particular party I am not aware of?" I inquired, suddenly becoming interested in whatever she had to say. ""No, not at all. "Be safe; I might not be home as well." She added, and I nodded with a smirk. As if she was concerned about my safety. I walked out of the mansion, hoping to get into the carriage that was waiting outside. ♡ "Alpha Luciano," I called as he approached me with his guards. I had been waiting for an hour and nothing seemed different. They just kept telling me he was on his way. But, as always, I had other plans. If he did not show up, I would devise new strategies for myself. But here he was in full glory. He had a strong physique, broad shoulders, and a stunning jawline. His blue eyes and black straightened hair pierced my soul. I could not help admiring his physique. Handsome was an understatement for the man in front of me, and I am still looking for words to describe him with. He walked closer to me, a smirk spreading across his cute face. His eyes cleaned my body, and I could not help but notice the proud expression on his face. "Why are you here?" I thought we agreed on your arrival by noon. Now you are here, tempting me with my best color. How did you discover this? Besides, you are the only one who did not receive the announcement properly. "You may as well wait." He said curtly, taking a closer look at me before making a move to walk away, but my next words brought him to a stop. "I would like to make a deal," I yelled, and he stood still for a while, not turning his back on me as I continued. "I am not going to stay for a competition like the other Lunas," I added, and he turned to face me. His face lit up with a proud smile. I could not help but blush as he mentioned my best color being the same as his. "Oh, I love my woman who is bold." He simply stated, which gave me confidence in my words. "I promise that the deal will benefit us both." I declared, and his guards were dismissed after two stares, leaving us alone. He strode over to my front, holding my hand, and for the first time since I awoke to the past, I felt my wolf awaken with the words. "He is our mate."
