"You'll have to transfer in a public school," "Please, tell me this is some kind of sick joke," the blonde girl said, forcing a stiff smile towards her dad. Athena Wellington is rich, sassy, mean and again rich– her attitude being the result of living the life with ease surrounded with fortunes. After a nasty fight with her enemy, she found herself with no choice but to switch schools. None of the prestigious schools would take her in, fearing damage to their reputation, leaving Athena with no option but to attend a place she despised – a public school.Surviving the year might be possible, or so she hoped, if it weren't for one particular boy who appeared to hate her guts.

When it comes to love and money, she realized she's got it all. The living room almost shook from the loud music and occasional cheers from drunk people. On a sofa at a corner, a blonde let out continous giggles while she snuggled up with her boyfriend, who has been whispering sugar coated nothings into her ear. Artha Wellington. Who just turned 18, hence the booming party. Daughter of the rich, maybe richest, business man in Celestial Hills. Viewed as the Golden girl of the town and praised for her perfect life. A long line of boys would always stand by outside her mansion, bouquet of flowers and gifts in their arms, the intention of courting her. . . for her money. Jealous girls would always sneak at her house at night, vandalizing the walls, and Artha would wake up to these walls filled with written insults, calling her nasty names. But that does'nt change her high society in life. Because she did got it all, people of the town would always say. Artha smiled as her so called friends stumbled around, raising their half empty bottle of alcohol and their cigarettes in the air. They would occasionally nudge her, bringing their used plastic cups filled with alcohol to the brim. "You're 18, Artha," They would say. "Drink up," She laughed, waving her hand. "I don't drink," There was a few 'boo's and Artha rolled her eyes, laughter erupted. Her boyfriend sat by her, inching closer and closer, he wasn't always affectionate, but maybe it's the alcohol. It was only strange enough that Artha wasn't bothered at all, sitting there letting her boyfriend kiss her like a stiff statue. Numb, feeling nothing but the need to escape the room. Maybe she's used to loud parties, maybe she's used to her alcoholic boyfriend, maybe she's used to this life. Artha stared at the people surrounding her, while feeling numb as her boyfriend kissed her neck. She blinked slowly. She had never felt so lonely in a room full of people. When it comes to love and money, he realized he got neither. "I'm sorry," The girl softly said, pulling her hand away from his grasp. "I– I don't think I feel the same about you anymore," He stared at her, stoic as ever. He brushed his dark hair away from his eyes, trying to compose himself. "What did I do wrong?" Aiden Garcia. Who had just turned 18 not so recently. The handsome so called prankster of the town. Going around the street placing pranks early in the morning then watch as people would for his tricks later in the afternoon. He would die laughing as he record them, posting it on his social platform making heaps of money. Maybe he's happy because he gets the fun watching people stupidly falling for it, but maybe it's because it's the only way he can help his mother pay for the bills. But nevertheless, he'll always have his heart broken. The girl sitting in front of him shook her head, her eyes watery but stubborn not to cry infront of him. "It's not you," She started. "It's me," He heard that so many times, the same reason why every girl he had put all his love, time and energy on, leave him. Aiden doesn't know how long he had been staring at his own hands until his now ex-lover stood up and went for the door. Aiden didn't cry, atleast not yet. He had been through this so many times. There was shuffling and then out of nowhere two people sat by his sides. "It's over, isn't?" The girl to his left softly said, placing a hand on his shoulder. The other male, to Aiden's right, scoffed, putting on his lipgloss and then rolling his eyes. "That's for the better, Aiden, I didn't like that girl from the start," He said, smacking his lips. Aiden stayed still as both of his best friends say comforting words to him, one in a soft manner and the other in a harsh but empowering manner. Out of nowhere, he shook, tears finally escaping his glistening eyes. His two friends went silent, then they both leaned in to give him a hug. Through tears and with wet cheeks, he smiled in the comfort of the two people. He had never felt so fulfilled in a room with just two people.
