The sounds of voices woke me before the sun fully rose.
Doors opening and closing. Footsteps rushing through the halls.
I sat up fast, rubbing my eyes. Outside the door I could hear pack members talking in low, excited tones.
“She’s going to be Luna,” someone said.
“I heard the hall is already decorated,” another voice answered.
“Silver and white everywhere.”
My heart skipped.
They were talking about me.
The door opened and an omega stepped in carrying folded fabrics. She bowed quickly.
“Good morning, Luna.”
I smiled automatically. “Good morning.”
She set the fabrics on the table. “The Alpha asked that you try these later. They’re for the final rehearsal.”
