Her

Amelia's pov   I woke up to the constant blaring of my alarm,  i got up put it off and went straight to my bathroom to start my daily routine. you might be wondering who i am, i am Amelia Johnson i am eighteen and will be graduating high school soon. i live with my mother Sophia and she is a great mother except for the fact that she is still hung up on my father leaving her so she resorts to drugs and alcohol.   I went downstairs after taking a second look at my outfit. My mom was sleeping on the kitchen counter probably passed out from too much alcohol last night. i woke her up and she gave me a small smile asking how my night was and i return her smile while walking her to her room.   I feel really bad whenever she does this but who am i to judge her i have never been in her shoes and don't wish to. how can a man who promise to give you the whole world just up and leave after getting her pregnant, the only piece of him left behind is this house which my mom decide to treasure in hope of him coming back.  I grab my backpack, plug in my earphones and start walking to school while shaking my head to the music.  Immediately i got inside the school i was attack with screams and hugs from behind and i don't even need to turn to know who it is.   ''Damn Kay  why are you always so loud and bubbly everyday'' I glared.     '' Come on don't be a spoil sport girlfriend , if am not bubbly and loud how else would i be Makayla Hobbins '' she replied flipping her ginger red hair.    '' How on earth did we even became friends Kayla'' I said walking to my locker with her still bouncing beside me and waving to few of her acquaintance.   '' Because am so amazing and you can't live without me duh'' she said dismissively.    '' I think  what you wanted to say is you can't live without me because i write your essays and teach you calculus'' I teased.   '' That's not fair bestie you can't target my weakness like that'' She sulked and i laughed, those subject really are her weakness.    '' If you're done sulking miss can we get to class now'' I mocked.      She stomped her feet and fold her arms on '' I won't move an inch until you apologize and say i am the most brilliant and  beautiful girl in the world.   ''Why would i lie and say that'' I answered trying so hard to keep a straight face.     '' Then get ready to be late to calculus girl because nothing can move me from this spot'' she replied sternly.   '' You think so'' i challenged and she eyed me not understanding what i was going to do, then i went behind her and gave her a hard push and she finally know what i was about to do and try to stick her feet to the ground.   '' Stop been a drama queen Kay and let's get to class'' i pushed her heels making a screeching sound.   '' Let's see how you get out of this without doing what i asked'' she said.      '' Okay you win'' i replied surrendering saying what she wants to hear to end the drama.    '' Yay was that so hard to say '' She cheered like she just won the lottery.      ''Can we get to class now drama queen?'' i asked grabbing her arm and walking towards the class.   '' Of course my dearest friend'' she replied and we got to the class and we took our seat.       You all might be wondering how i knew Kayla andhow we became friends, my mom once work at her mother's  bakery , we met on her fifth year birthday and we have been going strong since then we did practically everything together the only difference between us is her parents is filthy rich while mine you know but i have never felt out of place in her house or life.She is  a beautiful girl that knows what she wants and go straight for it i always admire how she commands attention everywhere she goes but i guess that came with been rich, her other rich friend always thinks she is crazy for befriending a charity case whose school fees comes out of their parents money but who cares i won the scholarship because i am brilliant enough and that's it.   The teacher enters and everybody settled down and greeted him good morning which he replied with a smile.   '' Good morning class i trust you all had a great weekend'' He greeted.     ''Good morning to you too sir'' everybody chants, we trust you had a nice weekend too.        ''Very well'' He replied. Today we are going to be treating Vector Algebra and Geometry, is there anyone that has an idea what that is?.   I stood up and answered''Vector functions space curves, derivatives/velocity and acceleration, curvature.   ''Very correct Miss Johnson'' He praised. Vectors  functions with space curves, derivatives and velocity and we are going to treat each function seperately.   The class went on for two hours and we were saved by the change of period bell that rang through the whole school, I pack my things and left for my biology class which  i don't share with Kay so i hurried so i won't be  late  but someone bumped so hard into me  that all my textbooks fell to the ground, i turned to know  who it was and it was none other than the school bad boy Jaxon King so i quietly pick up my books and hurry to my class.   I enter Biology class already fuming at how rude that jerk was it's only polite to help someone you bumped into or say sorry if you're in a hurry but those rich kids lack manners and character.    I went to my seat but someone was there sitting on my seat and chatting with his friends and that person is no other than the jerk that bumped into me.    ''Excuse me you're in my seat please'' I informed him politely but he justturn to  look at me and went back to chatting so i tapped his shoulder and he turned again only to glare at me.   '' Don't you have eyes?'' he questioned angrily. Can you not see that this seat is already taken?.    '' Of course i can see clearly but this is my seat so am asking you to leave and let me seat before the teacher comes in'' I replied matching his tone.   ''What if i don't want to stand up from this seat huh?, what are you gonna do about it?'' He questioned raising his eyebrows.   ''I don't have anything to do about it but i don't want troubles so kindly go to your seat please'' I replied  frustrated already.   '' Look here girl don't you know who he is?'' One of his friend said, he can seat wherever he wants so shoo away and find another seat.  ''All the seat are almost filled up and i can't see from the back which is his seat so go to your seat'' i said almost yelling.   ''Are you raising your voice at me?'' he said looking so angry that i almost coiled away but i didn't.  ''Just go back to your seat Jaxon i don't want no problems'' I answered sternly. just when he was about to shout at me the teacher enters and he stood up and went to his seat giving me a death glare.   After long hours in the class the bell for lunch finally rang and everyone couldn't wait to leave the class including me. I headed  straight to the cafeteria after dropping my books in my locker to  meet Kayla but she was standing by the entrance door talking to some guy so i waved at her and made a gesture that am waiting for her to finish and she quickly concluded what she was discussing with the guy.   '' Hey there girl how was biology?'' she asked throwing her arms around my neck.    '' Bad Kay'' I sighed.     ''What you mean by bad?'' she asked with a worried look.      ''Jaxon King decides to take my seat and he already bumped into me in the hallway without apologizing or helping me'' I replied.   ''You know he is a jerk Ams don't bother about him just stay clear of him;; She warned and i nodded.   We enter the cafeteria and there is a long line of student waiting to get their food so i joined the line while Kay chat with some girls, after some minutes it was finally my turn but someone jumped right in front of me and took my spot i was so furious now.   '' Excuse me'' I tapped the person's shoulder but he ignored me and continue ordering his food. ''Are you hard of hearing or you just can't see?.   '' I don't know you tell me'' the person said turning to face me and i was even angrier when i realize who it is.   '' You again?'' i  snarled angrily that am seeing red. why are you so rude and characterless?.''   ''Did you know who you're talking back to girl?'' he warned lowly.      '' I don't care who the hell you're!!!'' I spat back. did you think the whole world revolve around you?, first you bumped into me and just went away without a  single word of apology, then you took my seat in biology and told me to seat in the back where i can't see.   '' It's not my fault that you're short and have eyes problems and by the way people like you are to obey any order people like us give to you in this school'' He said arrogantly.   '' Oh really?'' I asked  hurt by how he pointed out the difference in our status. why should i obey your orders?, are you the principal? the school president?, you're just a student like me!!.   '' That's where you're getting it wrong my dear'' He mocked. the truth is you can only study in a school like this because the money for your tuition came from our parents pocket so know your place and graduate quitely.   ''Oh i get it now because i study here by scholarship make me a slave?'' I inquired .The truth is without your parents money kids like you are nothing, you go around flaunting money you can't even earn and you stand there and call me a slave.   ''Having good parents is an achievement girl but you clearly failed at that'' he replied.   ''Having a child like you is a dissapointment'' i retorted. Your parents send you here to make something out of your life but it's clear what you would make out of yours. I turned to leave but he grab my arms and swirl me around quickly.   '' What did you say that am a dissapointment?'' He seethed his grip on my arms tighten.'' The only dissapointment here is you that's why your father flee before you were even born.  Everybody gasped at that and i couldn't stop the tears that rolled down my cheeks, i grabbed the milkshake he was holding and empty the content on him.   ''You don't know anything about me stop acting like you do'' I said angrily and turn to leave but he put out his feet making me trip and i fell.   ''Stop the tough girl act now, we all know you got daddy issues that's why you're always on your own'' He seethed. ''Maybe if you change your ways and be a good girl daddy might decide to return.'' You just messed with the wrong person and am going to make sure you wish you never attend this school.  I stand up and grabbed his soaked shirt ''Listen here spoilt jerk, you should be the one staying clear of me because people like me that have nothing to lose can go to any length.    ''It's a bet then make me cower and i will forever be your slave but if you failed you will do everything i want'' He challenged and i pushed him away.   I leave the cafeteria but Kay stoped me '' Babe what's wrong you've tears in your eyes?.    ''It's official girl i hate Mondays now'' I replied and left.
