Mated to the Four Princes of the Fae Realm

The veil between the worlds of humans and fae are thin in some spots allowing for the occasional human wandering into the mirrored realm of the fae. Human children were taught not to stray too far into the woods as the monsters from beyond the veil would take them but never taught what to look for, Fae children were taught of the horrible things the humans would do to their kind neither truly understanding the other. Over time the humans moved away from the portals letting the dark woods grow thick around them and slowly forgot the Fae realm. The Fae blocked the portals hoping to keep their people safe. In the human world those possessing magic were shunned from the towns, however whenever someone fell ill they were the first called upon. In recent years those calls had become more frequent as an illness ravaged the land but as more fell ill and the remedies worked less and less people started to blame the witches and fae. In the Fae realm a sickness also made its way through the kingdoms. Each kingdom had its own way of dealing with the sickness but none really seemed to help, now even the forest we're starting to feel the effects. The elders of each kingdom turned to an ancient prophecy from a bygone age. The prophecy stated that one day an illness would ravage the realm maming and killing without prejudice. No single cure would be found among the four kingdoms of the Fae but a fifth piece would be needed to bring them together. It was prophesized that a young woman would enter the realm descended from a kingdom long lost to the Fae worlds. This woman's ancient magic was intrinsically tied to both realms and would be key to solving the illness plaguing them both. She was to be mated to the princes of each kingdom in hopes of bringing together the people of the Fae realm.
