Moth stood and helped her to her feet. Zack was about to speak when they heard a blood-curdling scream from somewhere in the asylum. The three of them ran from the room, heading down the passage and into the dining hall. Layla was on the floor clutching her hand. Zack helped Layla to her feet, her hand pouring with blood. Kane’s eyes were on the puddle of blood at Layla’s feet which only seems to grow. Zack frowned, “Layla, what happened?” She shook her head, “I don’t know,” she shook her head again, “It was like I was being pulled in here, and when I got in… I don’t remember, it was like I passed out I guess and when I woke up my hand was full of blood.” Zack was busy wrapping his shirt around Layla’s hand. Kane frowned, this was starting to be a clear sign that the spirits were not interested in playing; she turned to Moth and knew he thought the same. Moth cleared his throat, “Zack, we need to get out of this place, before anything worse happens.” Zack sighed, “Let’s just get Layla fixed up first.” They headed for the door, but Kane stated, “I’ll clean up in her.” Zack nodded as he ushered Layla from the room. She waited until she was sure they were gone before turning to Moth, “Something pulling her in here; this is happening faster than I thought it would.” Moth nodded, “I know; we need to get everyone out of here and fast.” Kane turned slightly, just in time to see a wooden chair fly into the air and come whizzing towards them. She dropped to the floor just as the chair passed, slamming into the wall and shattering. Kane raised her brows, “Looks like something doesn’t want us to leave.” He held out his hand, “Let’s go.” He helped her up and together they went to the lounge area. Cliff, Collin, Kelso and Macy came to them immediately. Kane scanned the room. Zack was crouched in front of Layla while she leaned against Jack on the couch; Mac stood in the corner with his arms around a worried-looking Stacey; Brent and Scott stood near the fireplace; Veda sat with her knees pulled up to her chest, arms wrapped around her legs; And Gina stood at the back of the couch with her hand resting on Layla’s shoulder. Kelso frowned, “What happened?” Moth started explaining and Kane’s eyes wandered to the clock on the table. “It’s not midnight.” “London?” Moth was staring at her with a worried look on his face. She realized that everyone was staring at her. She motioned to the clock, “It says it’s midnight when it isn’t.” Kelso checked his watch, “My watch says midnight.” Brent nodded, “Yeah, so does mine.” Collin frowned, “Same here.” Scott turned, “Here too.” Mac nodded, “Same.” “So does mine.” Said Stacey. Moth turned to Zack, “We need to leave.” “Just relax.” Kelso took a step forward, “No, we need to leave.” The fireplace suddenly popped and flames shot up, sending Brent and Scott diving away from it. Zack’s mouth dropped. Moth spun, “Now do you believe we need to leave?” ‘You won’t get out’ Kane shook her head, panic filling her body, “It won’t let us leave.” Brent frowned, “Call Lewis if we can’t get out.” While Kelso and Moth took the keys from Zack to unlock the doors, Zack started searching for a phone with a signal, and Kane took a crowbar to the windows. Kelso and Moth returned, Moth threw the keys against the wall. Zack sighed, “There’s no signal here.” Kane sighed, the windows weren’t breaking; she sat on the floor, dropping the crowbar to her side. Stacey started pacing, “We’ll get out of here.” Zack stood, “Brent, Kelso and Moth, go down to the basement, the electrical box is down there, do what you can, we need proper lights in this place.” Brent and Kelso nodded and walked out, but Moth came over to Kane. “London, you don’t move from this room until I’m back.” She nodded, “Just make sure you stay safe.” He nodded, before kissing her and walking out. Kane leant her head against the wall, and closed her eyes, having Moth around made her feel so much better. ‘Stick Together’ Kane’s eyes flew open at the sound of the woman’s voice. “Where’s Stacey?” Zack shrugged, “She went to get food.” Kane stood, “I’ll help her.” Walking down the passage, she wondered why they would let Stacey walk around alone, especially at a time like this. She opened the door to the room where they had been keeping the food in and frowned; there was no sign of Stacey. “Stacey?” Kane scanned the room, freezing at the sight of blood on the floor in front of the cupboard. She ran to the cupboard and pulled the doors open; tumbling to the floor as Stacey’s bloodied corpse fell on top of her. “Moth! Zack! Get in here!” She shoved the body off and got to her feet. Zack ran in, “What… Oh my God.” “I came in, and saw the blood on the floor, and when I checked the cupboard, she fell out.” Zack let out a shaky breath, “Go back to the others, I’ll clean this up. And no one leaves that room until I’m back.” Kane nodded and walked out, going back to the lounge and stopping in the doorway. Moth and the others weren’t back yet. Veda was the first to look up, “Oh God.” This had everyone turning. “We need to wait for for-” Veda’s voice shook, “Why is there blood on your clothes?” Kane glanced down suddenly, she had forgotten about that, “Um, I’m sorry guys. I found Stacey.” Mac fell to his knees, burying his face in his hands. Veda had tears streaming down her face, “Is she? Is she gone?” Kane nodded silently. Macy stood with her back against Collin, looking terrified; Cassie was on her knees with an arm around Mac who sobbed on his knees; Jack sat with his arm tightly around Layla; Scott and Gina stood behind Veda. Cliff came up to Kane and put an arm around her shoulders, “I’m sorry you had to find her.” “I just want to get out of here.” The lights flickered on and Kane breathed a sigh of relief; Moth would be back soon. Cliff smiled, “We will get out of here.” Kane nodded even though she didn’t believe that. Brent and Kelso returned with Moth who frowned at Kane’s appearance. “London, what happened?” Veda let out a shriek, “We’re all going to die.” Brent scanned the room, “Where’s Stacey?” Kane sighed, “I found her in the cupboard. I don’t know what happened.” Moth wrapped an arm around her, “We’re going to be fine. I will make sure you get out of here, even if it’s the last thing I do.” Kane kept her mouth shut; she had no idea what to believe anymore. Zack came in, “At least there’s light. Okay, listen, something is happening here, obviously; I don’t know what, but something is definitely not right. We stick together in groups.” Veda stood, “I can’t do this, and we can’t just stay here; break a door or something.” Kane sighed, “If that were a possibility, we would have done it already.” Gina stood and made her way to the doorway. Kane blocked her, “Where do you think you’re going?” Gina rolled her eyes, “I need the toilet.” Kane picked up the crowbar, “Girls, who else needs a toilet break?” Macy and Veda walked over
