Beneath The Darkness

    This wasn't the first time I was balls deep in some shifter in a back alley, nor would it be the last if the Agency had any say. I moved my hand up her breast to her neck and began to squeeze lightly. She moaned as I pulled her head backwards towards me. I leaned down and put my mouth next to her ear.      "Give your Alpha a message from the Agency." I had stopped thrusting into her. I could smell her arousal quickly turn to fear. She started to struggle against my hand around her neck, but it was to late. my fingers pushed into the soft muscle as I closed around her windpipe. As her world began to close in around her, her heart started racing causing more of her blood to pool and drip around my fingers. I crushed her windpipe into a bloody pulp and let go. She slumped face first into the wall, the last bits of life draining from her eyes. I drew '7S' on the wall above her using her blood. Then walked out of the alleyway.     "Well it's about time. Did you send the message?" said a feminine voice to my left.     "Yeah. I'm sure he'll get it in the morning." I replied.     "Good. I'm horny and I really want to finish what she started for you." She stepped in close to me and put her lips close to mine. "After you wash her scent off.'' She stepped back.     ''I guess your date with the Alpha was a bust?'' I sarcastically asked following her down the street.     ''Oh you know how wolves can be. He'd rather wait 'til we've moved into his house. Don't forget our cover. And play nice.'' she said.     ''Right, right. What's our cover again?'' I asked.     ''You're my eighteen year old son finishing you last year of high school before you go back to japan.'' she replied.     ''No one is going to believe that I'm eighteen with my tattoos.''     ''The son of a yakuza enforcer, sure. Now come on, I want to get off before I have to spend the next six months having disappointing sex.'' She grabbed my hand and pulled me along. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~         Jenny     ''Jenny, wake up or you'll miss your birthday breakfast.'' My dad yelled from the dining room.     ''Coming.'' I yelled back.     ''Don't forget that Mizore and her son are moving their stuff in after school today. I want you to meet them.'' He said as I sat across from him.     ''I know Dad. I made plans for this weekend.''     ''Okay, sweetheart. And don't worry, we'll have a nice dinner and you can still shift for your first time. Don't be late for school, I'll see you tonight.'' he said, getting up and leaving.     ''Oh, can Franky and Jules come over?'' I asked.     ''Of course. They're always welcome here.'' he replied.     I was happy for my dad. After my mom passed away a few years ago he sunk into a deep depression. I thought he'd never be the same, but the last few months he seemed like he was back to his old self. Any woman that could make him that happy was okay with me. Though she could never replace the mate bond my parents had. Nevertheless I was still excited to meet her, and apparently my new step brother.     When I arrived at school Franky, one of my closest friends, came running up to me.     ''Happy birthday, b***h! Oh my god, you're finally eighteen. I can't wait to see what your wolf looks like. OMG, like I can't even, right now. This is so exciting!'' he squealed.  Franky was the first friend I made outside the pack. His parents were both half fey going back generations, but they never showed any fey tendencies so they were raised as humans. But when Franky started to exhibit connections to his fey blood it was time for his grandparents to come clean. Being openly gay and the only fairy in school earned him his share of bullying from the usual people. But after some 'mishaps' involving magic it all stopped.     ''Oh my Goddess, Jenny, first off happy birthday. And listen to this, there's a new guy here.'' My best friend came running up to us. Juliette was the youngest sister to our packs beta. With her brother and my father working so closely together, we grew up practically as sisters.     ''How do you know this?'' I asked skeptically.     'Some of the cheer-sluts saw him in the admin office getting his schedule. But that's not even the best part. Can you guess?'' she said excitedly.     ''What's the best part?'' I asked walking towards the doors of the building.     ''He's a vampire. Don't you see how awesome that is? The vampire covens in D.C. normally avoid everyone else, which means they have their own schools. And if a vampire is attending this school that means he's either not associated with the local covens, or he's been excommunicated. And do you know what a vampire that's not bogged down by all the stuffy coven rules can do? Whatever he wants.'' she purred.     ''How do you know he's a vampire?''     ''Those cheer-sluts said that he was pale and had the whole 'dark and brooding' look. And when they saw his eyes, they said they were bright red.'' The bell rang for first period.     ''Okay, I'll keep an eye out for rogue vampires.'' I said heading to class.     "You better tell me if he gets a little taste of that virgin blood." she shouted towards me.     "Yeah, yeah. Oh by the way, dad said you guys can come over for dinner tonight.'' I shouted towards them.      I sat down at my desk just as the final bell rang.     ''Welcome back, everyone. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.'' Mrs. James said walking into the room. She paused at the front of the class, scanning the room taking roll. "Hey Mr. Sleepy cool guy, class has started. Wake up and take off your hat.'' All eyes turned to the guy sleeping at the back of the room.     He raised his head. ''Meinu o damare.''     ''Anata wa watashi ni nan to iimashita ka?'' Mrs. James had anger burning in her eyes.     He opened his eyes. Bright red. His eyes swept across the room, and stopped when they landed on me. It was very unnerving, like they were staring into my very core. He stood up and gave a small bow.     ''I apologize.'' he said in a heavy Asian accent. ''I forgot, I wasn't back home in Tokyo. I am a new student until the end of the semester.'' He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Mrs. James. ''I am Kaze.''     ''Just because you're new, it doesn't give you the right to speak to me that way. If we were back in Tokyo you wouldn't get away with that.''     He shook his head, ''Yakuza.''     ''That still isn't an excuse.''     ''Shi no karasu.''     I have known Mrs. James ever since she found her mate in our pack and moved from Japan ten years ago. In all that time I had never seen her scared nor back down from anyone. But when the new kid said those words , her face turned as pale as his and she had this look like the goddess herself was handing out her punishment.     After composing herself, Mrs. James said, ''I meant no offense, but while in my class I ask that you don't sleep or wear a hat.'' He sat back down and removed his hat. On the shaven side of his head was a tattoo of a raven. Mrs. James nervously looked at the tattoo then resumed class. But I couldn't concentrate, the unnerving look in his eyes haunted me. It felt like he was staring at me during the entire class. After school ended I met up with Franky and Juliette to head to my house.     "Oh my goddess, Jen, tell me you saw the new guy today. I have to know if any of the rumors are true.'' Juliette rushed to me.     "You won't believe it. That new guy is in my first period. And he scared the hell out of Mrs. James.'' I said. ''Jules, we have known Mrs. James for ten years, when have you ever seen her back down from someone?''     ''I've seen her stand up to your father without flinching. The Alpha, there is now way someone scared her.'' Juliette laughed.     '' No seriously. She told him to wake up and take off his hat. Then he said something to her, I guess it was Japanese because she just went off. You know how she starts speaking Japanese when she's angry of frustrated. So he apologizes and says he's a new student. But she's like that's not an excuse to be disrespectful and there's no way he would've gotten away with it back home. All he says is yakuza.'' I explained.     ''Like the Japanese mafia?'' Franky asked.     ''Yeah. I guess so.''     "There is no way that made her back down. Mrs. James wouldn't just let him walk over her like that.'' Juliette said.     ''Here's the thing,'' I finished. ''She still says that it's not an excuse. And he finally looks at her and says 'she no car uh sue'. I'm not joking, she turned as pale as he was.''     ''Are you sure that what he said?'' Franky asked a little nervous.     ''Yeah. It scared Mrs. James, of course I wouldn't forget what said.'' I scoffed.     ''Well if I heard you correctly, the Shi No Karasu is the Death Ravens yakuza. They're the worst of the worst when it comes to the yakuza. Like all the yakuza bosses pay them tribute..'' he explained.     ''How do you know this?'' I looked at him.     ''While my grandpa was stationed in Japan, when they were given leave the soldiers were told to that if any yakuza started messing with them to say they were protected by Shi No Karasu.'' he answered. ''So if this new kid does have some connection to them he would have some kind of symbol known by other yakuza. Like a ring with a raven on it, or a raven sewn on his clothes, or even a tattoo.''     ''Maybe that's why he had a tattoo of a raven on the side of his head.'' I mused aloud.     The rest of way to my house was quiet.
