Chapter Six
We arrived at the air port with record time to spare. I told Kimmy I was more than happy to go by myself, but, given the reason for me living, she wanted to make sure I was ok until i got on that plane. She stayed with me for as long as possible, but eventually, she did have to leave and we had to say our goodbyes.
I told her I’d text her once I knew what was going on. She kissed and hugged me and then she left. I watched her go before heading through security and towards my gate.
I hadn’t had any more contact with home except to tell them I was arriving in Canada tomorrow morning and to send some one to pick me up.
Sure, you can get to the North Pole via ferry or Plane, but There was no direct or easy way of getting to the hidden village with ou walking, and that would take forever. I just wanted to get home and see dad.
It took 6 hours to fly over but by the time I’d have waited for the boarding and then gone through the security in Vancouver and made it outside the airport to the person witing or me, It was closer to nearly 10 hours. It took forever!
Once I was in the waiting car, The driver took me through the city and to the waiting private plane in the middle of nowhere. We needed to be sure that I wasn’t seen. A big part of Santa and Christmas Magic is, of course, the secrets.
I thanked the driver and got in the Plane. Sitting back and relaxing, knowing it would only be a few more hours until I was home with my parents…
*********************************
We landed and I could already see out of the plane windows that there was a lot of people waiting to greet me. I NEVER come here, I hadn’t returned since the day I left so I could very well believe that ‘’Santa’s Son’’ returning home would draw out a crowd. I scanned the sea of unfamiliar faces before my eyes landed on my mother.
She looked so... Frail. Definitely not the woman I remembered, but I could very well believe that that was probably due to my fathers declining heath that had affected her so much.
Stood next to mother was Borris, He had been dad’s right hand man since I was a kid, and he hadn’t changed at all, My eyes kept wondering, and stood next to him was quite possibly the hottest girl… or rather Elf I had ever seen.
Growing up, Obviously, I had my fair share of interest and I wasn’t exactly innocent, But dating an Elf was always frowned upon, My parents didn’t really care, but my grandparents had made it clear that it was forbidden.
I slept with a few in my teenage years but never dated any.
But this one, She was beautiful.
Standing up, I grabbed my bags and made my way off the plane. It was weird, So many people were just staring at me. It was so quiet, you could hear the wind in the distance. No other sound apart from the crunch of the snow beneath my feet.
I reached my mum and dropped my bags, Instantly wrapping her in a tight hug, She started crying, I had to compose myself so that I didn’t cry too.
‘Hows dad?’ i asked, Pulling apart from the hug, but she just shook her head. ‘Can I see him?’
‘Of course darling’. As we started walking towards the house, Borris and the young girl followed. ‘You remember Mr Frost?’ I looked at him and smiled.
‘Yeah, i remember, Nice to see you again'. I shook his hand.
‘Nice to see you, Nicky. This is my daughter, Mistletoe’. Mistletoe huh? Interesting name. Typical Christmas name.
I looked over at her and smiled, She blushed and looked away, it was cute. I just stayed quiet and followed while Mum and Borris continued talking between themselves. I just tuned them out, My main focus right now was seeing dad.
