Chapter Fifteen 

Mistletoe’s Point of View

I just stood and watched while he set the reindeers up in their reins and got the sleigh ready. I couldn’t believe that we were actually taking it out!! I wasn’t even sure if that was aloud, probably not, But I was so excited! 

..and there was some thing very.. VERY attractive about the new side of Nicky that I had never seen before. The way he was with the animals, the way he knew about the sleigh and how it all works, this sweet and kind side of him.. I liked it, A lot. 

‘What are you smiling about?’ He asked, coming towards me.I just shrugged. ‘Ok then, well, It's all ready’. 

‘Ok’. He took my hand and I climbed in side. I watched him as he went over and opened the back doors and came and joined me. 

‘Ready?’ I nodded, eagerly. He picked up the reins and commanded the reindeers to go. I held on to Nicky tightly as we jolted forward and suddenly, we were off the ground and already airborne, heading up in to the sky!. 

Once we were more level, I let go of Nicky’s arm and peered over the side. I was always scared of heights, but... The views under us were amazing! 

‘Are you cold?’ He asked. I shook my head but shivered at the same time. He grinned and told me that there was a blanket under the seat. I leaned forward and grabbed it before laying it over our laps. He lifted his arm for me to snuggle up to him, and when I did, I pulled the blanket up more and instantly started warming up. 

‘This is really nice, I can honestly say I’ve never been taken on a reindeer driven sleigh ride for a first date before’. I joked. I felt his body move as he chuckled. 

‘Oh no? Just the usual, casual first dates then?’ 

‘No, I’ve never been on a date’. He pulled away and looked down at me. 

‘Seriously?’ I nodded. 

‘You have met my dad, Do you really think I have many guys knocking on my door?’  He was silent for a moment before he cupped my cheek and pulled my face closer to his… and kissed me. 

He kissed me! My first kiss! 

My heart exploded and I felt like I was going to be sick.. But, strangely, in a good way. I instantly kissed him back, but all too soon, he had to pull away and focus back on controlling the sleigh. I couldn’t stop smiling after wards. 

I was so happy!
