The Lost Mate

Chapter 9: Worry

-Few Days Later--Soul's Point Of View-

For the first time a rouge actually broke into Iris's room and tried mounting her. I'm glad I am having Tracy and Mike be training her because she was able to take care of that rouge and he is now in our dungeons. But the fact that her heat is getting intense that a rouge actually almost got to her made my wolf pissed off. The moon was up high as it was another night I could not sleep. I could only think of her. My urges getting to strong even my wolf almost took over me. I walk by her room again to see Tracy and Mike standing guard. I look at the doors and took a deep breath slowly walking into her room. I saw her asleep on the bed but she was having an uneasy sleep. Standing at the edge of the bed I could smell how badly she is in heat. Biting the corner of my lip  my wolf growled at me to do it. Maybe if I did that she will calm down. But there will be the chance of her getting pregnant. 

I was so worried about her that I didn't pay attention to her waking up and pulling me into a kiss surprising me. Her cheeks were stained with tears and that broke my heart. Wrapping my arms around her I slowly got on top. Her body was burning and then I realized she wasn't wearing any clothes. I couldn't blame her but that didn't make it easy for me to try and resist. She whimpered in the kiss clawing at my clothes. I knew I had to let it happen. Seeing her like this was painful. What have I done to her and it has only been a few days. Throwing off my clothes I wasted no time thrusting into her as she left out a loud moan. I couldn't hold back I threw all my feelings, wants, and needs for her into her. My mind went blur knowing my wolf took over all I could hear were her moans and feel her claws run across my back and chest as he spent all night mating. 

It was 1:00 in the morning when we stopped. Her body heat was finally cooled down as I layed there with her in my arms wide awake while she was fast asleep. Breathing heavily I questioned if what I did was the right now. There was a knock on the door, this knock was the single that I needed to leave. Kissing Iris's head one last time I pulled the blanket over her and got dressed. Leaving her room where Mike and Tracy was still at. Mike was asleep leaning against the wall while Tracy glanced at me. I mind linked with her.

"Thank you for watching out. I.. I hope this will stop the rouges from coming for her." She didn't look at me. "Alpha I think what you did was the right thing. Iris has been distracted in training and I can tell she is in pain. The fact that you went in this night to make sure she is safe and that you showed you still care for her. I believe it will be a little easier for her. Not saying she still won't be sad but you reassured her that you are her mate." I smirked looking at the ground. "I hope your right Tracy, this is hard for me too." She turned and looked at me. "I know you don't want her to have pups because of the Red Mind Pack Alpha, our Luna told me what was happening. Alpha, I believe what you are doing to save her sisters is the right thing but trying to stop her from having a pup is tortured. I am not saying you should give in. But if she ends up having a pup you are preparing everyone for the situation of rescuing and protecting for either situation were to happen." I looked at Tracy in surprise. She was right. I can't stop from Iris having a pup, but the fact I am preparing for  Damien and preparing to rescue Iris's sisters. Shaking my head, "but the thing is Tracy, if she were to be pregnant think how much harder that will be, I know she has you and Mike but what if something were to happen to you two reason why I am still allowing her to train. Her being pregnant and trying to protect herself if the worst to happen.That is something I could not bare." Tracy nod understanding what I am saying. Cutting off the mind link I went back to my office feeling my heart emotions happy that I was there but sad that I had left. I want her to have my pups so badly but there is too much happening. Too many roads and options out there to happen. An Alpha's weaknesses and strengths can be his mate, there is  the good and the bad. I know I can be stronger with my mate but my weakness is if someone were to catch her and threaten her life there will be a choice of having to sacrifice my dignity for her life. This is why I must take all precautions of keeping my mate safe so that I will not loose my dignity and disappoint my pack. 

-Iris's Point Of View-

I woke up completely sore I knew it was because of my mate but when I woke up in the afternoon he wasn't in bed with me. I sigh softly but smile lightly because I am slowly understanding why he is doing this. The night before last night a rouge male had broken into my room and tried to mount be. Luckily with my training still going on I was able to pin him down and fall for Tracy and Mike who took him to the dungeons. I am happy that Soul is still having me train I just wish I could not be stuck in my room. Tracy has been bringing me things to do in my room. I took up the skills of crafting. I got into sewing and crocheting I started making small baby blankets and then baby clothes. It was making me sad the more I made since I was now wanting to have a pup. It might just me being in heat but I would see the females with their pups and I even got to meet Tracy and Mike's pup, he was a cute little male, a future warrior in training at the junior training quarters.I could tell how proud Mike and Tracy were and I envied them. 

Looking around my room I had yarn for days making stuff animals and blankets and clothes. I started giving them to the females with young pups since the whole pack territory has been on lock down. The only ones that were able to leave the territory to go into the city for supplies was the warriors. I understand why the Alpha was doing this but it was hard to live in. I felt caged in. I wanted to run out in the forest. The snow was starting to melt and the snow is the best time to be in my wolf form. 

I only trained for a few hours in the morning for some reason Tracy was not being so hard on me and I don't know why. I wonder if she knows something I don't.

-Third Person Point Of View-

It was finally the day the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack and the Beta of the Full Moon Pack arrive to talk about preparing for war with the Red Mind Pack and the rouges. Soul greeted them at the front doors of the mansion as they would walk to his office not saying anything. Iris wanted to go out and see them but she wasn't aloud to. Soul sat in his chair at his desk while the Beta of the Full Moon Pack and the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack sat across from him. James stood behind Soul.

"Thank you gentlemen for coming here." Said Soul, "Thank you for inviting us, my name is Tyler and I am the Beta of the Full Moon Pack, I wish my Alpha Zack was here, but as his Beta I am taking his place." Tyler looks upset that his Alpha is being held captive from the Red Mind Pack leader as well as his packs Luna. "I would like to thank you as well Soul, I am Bryan the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, I wish this would be under better circumstances." Said Bryan, Soul would nod. "I agreed but this is something we need to take care of. The Red Mind Pack is becoming rouge, and the fact that they are teaming up with the rouges is not a good sign. My mate's sisters are in trouble as well as my mate." Bryan looked at Soul, "did Jones threaten her life if she doesn't give him a male pup?" Soul would nod, "but he also threaten to kill Mercury, Venus, and Zack if she doesn't give him three male pups." There was silence. Bryan would grip the handle of the chair growling as Tyler looked down at the ground pissed putting his hands together making a fist. "Do you know if your Luna is pregnant yet?" Asked Tyler, Soul looked at him growling softly. "I have been trying to hold back so that she won't get pregnant. Reason why I called you both in for help to rescue the three. I do not want to put my mate in that position and risk any lives let alone my mates." Tyler stood up growling. "But what if we can not rescue them. Your mate is the only one that can save them if this fails." Soul growled, "I am not putting my mate in the position of getting pregnant. It is too risky to hope that she would get pregnant with three pups let alone three male pups." "You are risking my Alpha and Luna's life because you do not want to pregnant your mate and give the pups up. My Alpha and Luna's pup was killed by the Red Mind Pack Alpha because it was a girl." Tyler's body was shaking from being so pissed that Soul is being selfish. Soul glared at Tyler, he was younger than Soul and a little shorter by a few inches. Soul walked around from his desk and looked down at Tyler. "I could just let you Alpha and Luna die and protect my mate instead. But I am taking account of her feelings and putting my warriors at risk to rescue your Alpha and Luna. Now you are in my territory. If you wish to leave then you can but if you do I will not rescue them." Tyler growled and snarled at Soul sitting down and going silent. Soul would go back to his seat. 

"Now I have had spies go and scan around the Red Mind Pack's territory, they are well guarded and it will be tough to get into the dungeon since the only entrance is from the mansion."

Hours went by as they would talk about strategies of what to do. Red Mind had powerful warriors and the fact that the rouges were working with him it was coming close to the three packs being out numbered. The Moon would rise and Iris wanted to see Soul but she wasn't aloud to leave the room still. She felt trapped and alone wanting her mate. 

Her door would open up and saw that it was James. She would walk up to him wanting to know what is going on. James took in a deep breath. "There is a plan in place and they will be leaving in a few days to attack the Red Mind Pack. Soul and I will be going with. Tracy and Mike will stay here to stay with you." 

"I want to see Soul." James shook his head, "that is for him to decide I was just sent to give you the news." Iris growled and stormed to her bed, James sighed looking at her then turned and left the room closing the door behind him. Iris layed in bed softly crying hugging a pillow, she wanted to see him before he left.

-Soul's Point Of View-

God meetings can be boring but we finally have a plan and we set off in a few days. Tyler and Bryan will be going back to their pack territory to ready their warriors which I need to do the same. James had gone and told Iris the news and I can feel her sad and crying. It was hard to not go in and comfort her but I need to get my warriors ready. Since none of the rouges are at the other packs I can leave a few of my warriors here to help defend my territory while James and I will be leaving to go. I sent out a mind link to my warriors to take out the rouges around our border line while the others are to be getting ready to leave in a few days. Those few days can come by fast while you are preparing for everything. I stop by Iris's room where Tracy and Mike stood I know I shouldn't go see her. But I don't know when I will see her again. Knocking on the door I didn't hear anything. Slowly opening the door I didn't see anyone. My eyes widen as I look around the bedroom and the bathroom. Where is she. Where is my mate. How can she not be here. I went to look at Tracy and Mike, not realizing they had darts in the back of their neck. I check their pulse they were alive but paralyzed. How did I not notice this. I order guards to take Tracy and Mike to the infirmary as I looked around the room sniffing everything. Something doesn't feel right here. My senses are off. I didn't sense nor pay attention to Tracy and Mike and there were no warning signs of Iris. I try to mind link her but something was blocking me. Something didn't feel right. I rush to the windows seeing paw prints leading to the forest and then I looked closely. Three of my warriors layed on the ground dead. My eyes widen and my wolf growls pissed. Someone took my mate right under my nose and the fact is. I couldn't sense it at all. I howl loudly letting everyone know what just happened. I growled completely pissed. Running out of the room to find James ordering the warriors to help the wounded and find the rest of the rouges. 

"James Iris is gone some how someone took her and I didn't even sense it." James look at me in shock. I was steaming, I was so pissed. I should of kept her close to me. I should of never left her side. But instead I didn't want to be near her because I thought it would protect her. I am an i***t. But I have a feeling I know who took her. And I am going to get her back. I can feel my wolf trying to break through to have me rush after her. James would grab my shoulder and look at me. I know he is telling me to wait. 

"All the rouges are gone. They must of left when they got ahold of Iris. What are your orders Alpha." I think for a second. "Get the wounded healed. Have  everyone ready. Send a messenger to other packs that we are leaving tomorrow. Have the wounded stay here with a few other warriors while we take the rest. We leave at dawn." I barked turning around and storming off. How could I let this happen. I need to get a hold of my mate right now. I go back to the bedroom and looked around then I saw another dart. Sniffing it I growl wolf bane. She has never been in contact with wolf bane that I know of. This is why everything happened so quickly. They used wolf bane on her and took her. She didn't have enough time to call for help, but how did they get the darts to Tracy and Mike. Sniffing the ground I can smell Tracy and Mike were in here. Looking closely on the ground there were claw marks. They did come into the room but were taken down and then positioned out of the room. How did the other guards not know. God damn it. I forgot I had the warriors go get the rouges so they must of been busy with that just leaving Tracy and Mike alone. Growling I punch the wall leaving a hole in it. Only one  male knows how this all played out. Damien. He was known for being a snake and a quiet one at that. He must of taken Iris to the Red Mind Pack. This is not good. How dare he touch my mate. My wolf howling and growling loud I broke out into a roar shaking the mansion. Then everything goes black as I went full on beast mode.
