Chapter 20: Taking Charge

-Iris's Point Of View-

Looking at Tracy and Mike as they seem to try to understand why I was with them at the table with the other high ranking warriors. I raised an eyebrow and cross my arms. "I know what you both are thinking and as your Luna I am taking charge while Soul is recovering." Mike would cough getting Tracy's attention then she would look at me. "I understand Luna but didn't you just have a pup? Isn't that more important?" I know she isn't trying to tell me that I can't take my roll as Luna and I get where she is at. She had a pup on her own and she couldn't do training because of taking care of her pup. Nodding my head, "yes I just had a pup but my pack is also my priority. And like I said since Soul is recovering I need to take charge. I will be able to take care both of my pup and this pack." They both did not object and moved aside for me to see the map that is layed across the table. The other high ranking warriors looked at me concerned but didn't say anything. They don't know the state their Luna's are in and I do not have the place to tell them. It must be weird to see a Luna taking charge of a war I mean I don't know anything on how to plan attacks but I just need to do something.

Looking down at the map I saw what campsites were taken down by us and where we were last stationed at. "This map is probably not accurate anymore since all our forces are back here. The Red Mind Pack and the rouges have probably gain more land now, but the lay out of the land and paths are still correct. We are waiting on a spy to come back with a more updated map that will help us plan better." Said Mike pointing everything out. I figured things would be different now but I don't know how different since I wasn't on the front lines in the first place. Seeing how much land there is between the Nightmare Moon Pack and the Red Mind Pack surprised me. I mean the driving was long but seeing everything on a map shows a different view. Looking at Mike, "what were the front lines like?" He looked at the map as if trying to put to words what the front lines were like. "It wasn't easy Luna, it was tough. We would rest during the day time and fight at night. Tracy was by my side all the time so when we had to take over a campsite I had her to back me up. I know that the battlefield was the worst. When we could we would go out and retrieve the bodies of fallen warriors getting names to send letters to family members. That was the hardest. We couldn't bary the bodies so we burned them. When I think about it now that was the best option since the rouges were wild and we would watch them eat their own dead. I thought rouges were zombies but they are just wild wolves. Their instincts taken over. The only difference between them and wild actual wolves are they they turn into humans. They fight dirty and have no skill. They are just wild." The moment he said that it made me think of Damien how he became a rabid wolf and he is a rouge now. Its sad to hear this but rouges are wolves that are kicked or left their previous pack to live by their own rules and I guess with that their wolves take over.

Looking at the map hearing in the distance the gates opening up. I look to see a small wolf running towards us with paper in its mouth. Turning to its human form is was a small female handing Mike the paper. He spread it out on the table as it was a new map that is up to date. My eyes widen. We are surrounded. Where on the old map things were clean on this new map it showed tons of campsites up to our boarders. Looking over at Mike he seemed pissed. I would understand all their hard work and the fact the rouges and the Red Mind Pack is up against our boarders. Sighing softly I look at the high ranking warriors from the other pack. "Did your Alphas give you any news or updates before you were seperated?" They looked at each other and nod, the one that was with the Blue Moon Pack stepped forward, "my Alpha had told me he sent a messenger to a brother pack for help, but we have yet to hear back," "do you know if he told the messenger that they need to come back to the Nightmare Moon Pack?" He would nod then the other one from the Full Moon Pack stepped forward, "my Alpha told me the same thing and had sent a messenger to his brother pack but nothing has been heard from." I growled softly biting my lip looking at the map. "We need to start acting now before the cross our boarders. When the moon rises we need to sent our stelth warriors to take down theres two campsites that are right at our boarders. We must stay in the shadows when we attack since we are low on warriors. Mike and Tracy get the smallest warriors you can get that are still in good shape and tell them to meet me at the armory. I will go over with them on the plan. And you two make sure your warriors are resting. Find two more messengers to go out together to those packs something might come up and we need to check on it. Send those messengers when it is day light but tell them to go through the back of our boarders in the forest. It may take longer but it will be safer. Now we don't have much time since the sun is almost past the trees so we much more fast." The two high ranking warriors from the other packs look at me as if wondering why they should listen to me and I understand that I am not their Luna. Growling at them, "I am the only one that is in shape to give orders I understand I am not your Luna but this is all we got so either listen to me or not but your Alphas will know about your actions." They growled softly at me and then left going to do what they were told. Tracy and Mike look at me still concerned about my condition since I had a pup but I had forgotten about that. "Look go get the warriors and get ready don't worry about me." They stood their for a moment then bow and left. While everyone was doing what they were told I need to go check up on Sin. Rushing to the nursery I saw the maid getting her phone out then when she saw me she was relieved that I came just in time to feed him. I told the nurse to get bottles ready as I need to fill them up before I leave. I am not planning on leaving but I need to be prepared just in case. The maid looked at me worried but I shrug it off. Everyone are more concerned about me than I am but then again I am their Luna and Soul is in bad condition. I look at my phone to see I got a text from my mother, news that my sisters are already better and that Bryan and Zack are too. Soul is out of critical condition but hasn't waken up yet that made my wolf whimper. I wanted to see Soul before I got to busy but I don't know if I can. As I finished feeding and taking care of Sin I let the maid take the bottles I filled and take care of Sin I kissed the top of his head before leaving the room. 

Walking to the hospital things were different. A lot of the warriors were out of the rooms and it seemed more empty now. I guess that is a good thing since they are healing up fast. A nurse would lead me to Soul's room at first I wasn't a loud to see him but I took control and demanded to see him. The door opens up and my eyes widen with tears. He was on a life support machine as well as a much of other machines hooked up to him ones that gave him liquids and blood and other things. Seeing him made my heart skip a beat I can't remember the last time I saw him. His face was scared, he was shirtless and his abs were covered in scars as well. I look at his leg and it has a cast on it that was probably the one where he was bitten. I stood next to his bed trying to not cry. His skin was pale not its normal tan self. I looked at his face wanting to see his eyes. I want to see his glowing blue eyes so badly but they were closed. Putting my hand on his cheek his skin was cold and my heart stopped. I fell to my knees my face on the covers as I cried. He was on life support but is he even alive. Are they only keeping him on life support because he is the Alpha what are these doctors doing to him. I cried and cried holding his cold hand. His skin was soft but it didn't feel the same. He as cold but not ice cold my hands shaking while I held his hand. The nurse helped me into a chair next to his bed. It was quiet except for the machines going on. I look at the machine that shows his heart beat and it was slow. My wolf was outraged. My blood is boiling but I don't know who to blame if I should attack the doctors or the nurses, who. Then it hit me. I was going after Damien. I growled deeply and loudly as the nurse was stepping back, my canines started to come out my human ears started to disappear and my wolf ears would appear on my head. The back of my pants would rip a little as my tail would come out. My shoes broke as my human feet changed. My claws started to come out. I wasn't in my full human form. It was rare for this form to take on but it is told to be the more powerful form a wolf could take. My eyes turn to slits as I growled deeply. My wolf is taking over I could hear the nurse run to the phone and call for help but it was too late. I left Soul's room in a flash not harming anyone as I left the hospital room. Both my wolf and I were in control equally as partners which is rare. I hear sirens going off the moon was rising. I howled loudly and looked around I saw Tracy and Mike with the small warriors that were going to do the shadow plan they looked at me in shock and didn't know what to do. Warriors looked at me as I stood there tall. I was bigger than a normal Luna I howled loudly letting everyone know it is time to attack. I didn't care about the plan anymore. I know Tracy and Mike can take care of it. My wolf was barking at me to find one wolf and that was Damien. The warriors were turning into their wolf forms as the gates were being broken down. The rouges were breaking in and the first rouge I saw was Damien, he was in his wolf form, his eyes were wild his movement was twichy and his fur was missing patches then I noticed the foam coming from his mouth. He lost it. He went to bite down on one of my warriors but in a blink of an eye I kneed Damien in the side making him fly against a tree. I howled loudly as everyone stopped even the rouges. I looked around and saw it was only the rouges here the Red Mind Pack must not be working with them anymore but they still have the same goal. I wonder what happened but now that I know the rouges are not companied with the Red Mind Pack I will make sure that no one is left alive. Looking over at Damien who got up he growled and barked loudly making the rouges snap and attack. This battlefield will be filled with blood and I will make sure it is only the rouges blood.
