The Lost Mate

Chapter 7: Decisions...

-Iris's Point Of View-

Silent tears would run down my cheeks as I thought about what this male had told me. That for my whole life he was never my father. That my mother had cheated on him. I have so many questions running through my head but the main one I wanted to focus on was how am I going to tell Soul that if we don't have a male pup that my sisters will die as well as one of their mates. And if I didn't Damien had a back up plan and I did not want to know what that really is but I have an idea it involves me and that Soul is dead. 

I feel a hand grab mine snapping me out of my thoughts I look over at Soul who seemed worried about me as he drove fast to get back to our territory where we will be safe, but even if we are in our territory the rouges are targeting us. 

-Soul's Point Of View-

I contact James letting us know that we are on our way back and to see if everything is okay.

"Yes alpha the rouges have yet attacked but the warriors did not leave their post over night and have been standing their ground in wolf form. We will be waiting for your arrival. Is the Luna okay?" I looked over at Iris as I held her hand rubbing my thumb across her hand. "I don't know, the Red Mind Pack Alpha had hit her and apparently isn't her father. She told me her sisters Venus and Mercury are endanger but has not given me anymore detail of what is really going on, I just want to get her home and safe." I was going over 100 mph to get their usually the speed limit is 75 and takes us up to over 6 hours but I can't wait any longer I need to get her safe. 

"Alright Alpha I will make sure a nurse is ready for when you arrive to take care of the Luna. Will see you soon, drive safely." And like that the mind link was cut off. I took a deep breath and looked at Iris again, her grip tightened on my hand and that made my wolf and I worry even more.

-Third Person Point Of View-

A few hours go by as they finally arrive at the pack mansion where James grabbed their bags, Soul got out of the car and picked up Iris, since it is snowing its not safe for her to walk in bare feet. A nurse was waiting for them in their room and would treat Iris. James and Soul stood outside the room waiting for the nurse to leave so they could go into the room and hope that Iris is ready to talk to them. 

Once the nurse had left James and Soul went into the room seeing Iris sitting on the couch looking down at her hands. Soul would go and wrap his arms around his mate sitting next to her and holding her. James looked at her wondering what had happened. Iris takes a deep breath and looks at them both.

"I need to have a male pup... 3 male pups actually... And if I don't, Venus, Mercury, and her mate will die... and Damien is working with Jones... He isn't my real father..." Soul would growl hearing what she is telling them but doesn't say anything until she completely finishes. Iris would go on telling them what had happened when meeting with the Red Mind Pack Alpha. When Iris looked at her other sisters they didn't seem upset that Jones was doing this, but then again Iris knew that the rest of the girls were just like their father. Once she had finished explaining what had happened Soul stood up and punched a wall making a hole and shaking the room as his growling got louder and he stormed out of the room growling his eyes dark. Iris's eyes widen as she stood up and looked at James who ran after Soul trying to stop him. Soul slammed James against the wall and the other warriors tried stopping him as well but there was no way they could. Iris ran after him as tables and furniture was being broken from the warriors being thrown on them. She stepped in front of Soul with her arms stretched out. "Stop Soul!" He was raising his hand to strike her. Her eyes widen in fear but stood her ground in front of him. She understands why he is upset and why he is acting this way. Soul's eyes were back to normal before he could strike her. Anger in his eyes as he was breathing heavily. Iris threw her arms around him and he held her close baring his face into her neck being in her scent. His wolf slowly calming down the more he breathed in her scent. She gripped his shirt struggling to stay on her tiptoes. He picked her up having her wrap her legs around his waist as he carried her back to their room. Not looking at what he did to his warriors feeling bad. James stood up and stumbled watching his Alpha walk into the room and closing the door. He then went to attend his warriors knowing why Soul acted that way. James would do the same thing if his mate was in the position their Luna is in.

-Soul's Point Of View-

I completely lost it. The moment Iris told me that she has to get pregnant and give birth to 3 males pup who her sisters and their mate would die. That is horrible and for the fact that her other sisters don't feel bad about what is going on just so that they get a mate. The is ridiculous. I want Iris to bare my children but not this way. What am I suppose to do. Damn this sucks badly. Holding on to her tightly I didn't want to let her go and I didn't. We just layed in bed holding each other. My mind racing wondering what I should do.

-Iris's Point Of View-

Holding on to him tightly as we layed in bed. I didn't know what to say to him. His body was shaking as he held me tightly. It felt like hours went by when he let me go and sat up in bed.I looked at him also sitting up wondering what he was going to do. He wouldn't look at me, and that made me worried, what was going through his mind. 

"Soul.." He would look at me and sigh. "Iris, this is hard for me to say but I think it's best to not have any pups," my eyes widen and jaw drops. I can't believe he just said that. I mean I know this is a hard decision but if I don't have pups then my sisters and their mate would die and Damien would come after me. I look down at the bed holding my hands. Hearing Soul sigh again, "I want us to have a family Iris and I know that this will affect your sisters but just the thought of you having pups and either they are males I don't want to give them to that bastard and there could be a chance that you have a female pup... I don't want to think about it.. Iris there is too much at stake but I promise that we will find a way to rescue your sisters and their mate and stop Jones and Damien from doing anything to you." I looked up at Soul his face serious as he would look into my eyes. My heart aching not knowing what to feel. I am sad that he doesn't want to have pups but I understand why. There is too much going on and the decisions we are facing are not easy. Nodding softly he would open his arms and hold me, my wolf whimpering. 

-Soul's Point Of View-

I don't want to make this decision but I have no choice. Feeling my mates pain didn't help either, but in the morning I will make sure to get with James and start coming up with a plan. It is obvious that Damien is having his rouges watch us while he is teaming up with Jones. I don't know what kind of warriors Jones has but when I was there they seemed to be strong. All I can do now is make sure that I can contain my wolf and myself from Iris mostly since she will be going into heat around this time. Laying back down with Iris in my arms, we both slowly fall asleep together, but for me, I could not sleep peacefully since all I could think about was Iris. 

-Third Person Point Of View-

As the two mates were sleeping James was busy coming up with a plan, he knew that his Alpha is in a tough position and that something had to be done. The rouges have stayed out of the packs territory for now, but the warriors did not let their guard down. Iris would cry softly in her sleep as Soul would hold her tightly. He would drift in and out of sleep. Looking at the ceiling knowing that he could not fall asleep he stayed next to his mate not wanting to leave her side. Plans running through his head on what to do. Sitting up slowly he needed to clear his mind. Got up and went to the bathroom to take a cold shower leaving the bathroom door open to make sure he can hear his mate while he took a shower. 

Iris would whimper in her sleep and thrash around until she woke up in a sweat her body burning up, she breathes heavily and saw that Soul wasn't next to her but could hear the shower running. She sat up her body feeling on fire. Breathing heavily she was worried if she was getting sick but her wolf howled and whimpered for their mate. Iris would get up and walk to the same bathroom Soul was in. He was surprised to see her up but then his wolf started going crazy. He could feel her body was burning because his would start to get hot as well. Iris would splash cold water on her face. Soul growled biting his lip. He can not fall for his wants and lust. Turning away as he turned the water to even colder hopping it would cool him off. Iris turned and looked at him blushing deeply. Her eyes went glossy as she took off her clothes and got into the shower with him. Pressing her body against his. His eyes widen feeling her naked body against his. This was not good. How is he going to be able to hold back as her breathing got heavy and uneasy feeling the cold water on her body. Soul turned around and wrapped his arms around her. Maybe if he was careful he could just do it once. He growled leaning down and start kissing her. She pressed herself against him wanting him more. Soul would pick her up having her wrap her legs around him slowly sliding himself into her. His growling grew louder as he was taking a risk. He has to make sure he can control his wolf so that he won't go too far. Iris let out a moan in his ear which got him to thrust in hard. Iris bit down on his collar bone and dig her claws into his shoulder blades as he would thrust into her. This went on for almost an hour until the cold water was too much for their skin. Soul would wrap them up in a towel and carry her to the bed not pulling up as he would lay her down and continue the process. Their body heat so hot that the water on their skin was gone in an instance. His eyes went dark as his wolf took over and the entire night was full of moans and lust. The bed frame would hit against the wall so much it made a hole in it. The sheets would get torn from their claws and pillows would be thrown around as well as blankets. 

-Iris's Point Of View-

Waking up sore is the worst way to wake up. I completely forgot what had happen last night until I saw how the room looked. It was late in the morning, looking around I saw that Soul was no where in the room. Slowly getting up and out of bed I groaned as my legs and lower area was so sore my head got light. Collecting myself I went into the bathroom to clean up and get dressed into my training uniform. My body was still a little hot but I did my best to ignore it. Walking down to the training quarters I saw that Soul wasn't there either neither was James, but all the warriors were there doing their training. I grabbed a partner to help to train still feeling extremely sore. Luckily it was snowing lightly outside so hopefully that can help my body heat cool down. 

-Soul's Point Of View-

Pacing in my office as my Beta would watch me. I can't believe I fell into it. All night my wolf had taken control and I know this will keep going on with Iris for a few more days until she bares my child. I have to do something to not let it happen again. James would look at me.

"Soul you know if you share a room with the Luna that every night she is in heat your wolf will take over and mate with her." I looked at James knowing he was right. Biting my lip I sighed sitting down in my chair.

"Then I can't be in the same room as her... I need to go to another room..." James looked at me worried. He may not have a mate but he knows very well what happens if two mates are separated. But I have no choice. I can not allow Iris have my pups while she is in this situation. I ordered a maid to grab my things and move me on the other side of the mansion so that we will be far apart. My wolf growled at me but I have no choice. She is my first priority. I will find a way to save her sisters and their mate, then I will take care of Jones and Damien. After that I will not leave her side ever again. This is going to be long and painful for the both of us. And I freaking hate it.
