A month later.   “Thank you,” I said to my servant, Maneka, as she slid the robe onto my shoulders and decorated my hair with flowers. “You look so beautiful,” the young Fae woman gushed as she stroked my clothes and looked at me in the mirror. “Oh, thank you. I hope everyone else thinks so too.” Maneka laughed in that loud way she had. “If you mean the Princes... I think they prefer you with the robes off... but that’s just my opinion.” I tried to admonish her with a frown, but instead ended up blushing so hotly I couldn’t pull it off. “You can go join everyone. I’ll be out in just a minute.” Maneka bobbed a strange curtsey and left the room. My room. The master bedroom in Calico’s grand castle. A kingdom we had re-opened, rebuilt and breathed life back into.
