Tyrant 1: Luke Zaveri [Tagalog]

CHAPTER 6

It's already midnight but Luke was still in his office in his own building, doing some projects for his clients who are in Europe. As per usual he never leaves in his office, he only leaves

when it's lunch or there's a meeting he scheduled. "Mr. Luke, someone is here to send some papers about your project on Dzubai" Sabi ng secretary ni Luke

"Send them in" Luke said sternly while signing some papers

Pagkaraan ng ilang segundo may nagbagsak nalang ng marahas na mga papel sa table ni look causing him to stop what he's doing and look up "Tellé, what are you doing?"

"I'm just giving the papers you need" She said while giving him a fake smile

Out of all his workers si Tellé lang ang may lakas na loob na gumawa sa binata ang pagsagot sa kaniya. "You can go now" He said then continued signing some papers but she never moves an inch from her position.

"What do you want with Yezia? why is she at your house last week?" Tellé said with curiosity and irritation present in her voice.

Luke once again look up to Tellé  but at the same time give her "Why does that concern you" look but  Tellé responds with a look of "Cause she's my f*****g bestfriend you dumbfuck"

They did that for a minute but Tellé broke the silence "Does the well-known workaholic and successful man of the Architectural industry have take a liking to my bestfriend?" She said while flashing a big smile.

"What do you mean by liking?" Luke said as he starts looking at some papers she brought

"Don't act like you don't know what i'm talking about dickhead"  Tellé blurted out kahit alam nito na delikado makipag-usap kay Luke ng ganitong paraan pero kailangan niya alamin kung anong ang punto ng paglapit niya kay Yezia. Dahil mamaya ay para ito sa hindi magandang rason.

"Hindi ko alam pinagsasasabi mo Tellé and may i remind you i'm still your boss you don't have the right to talk to me that way and that would make you lose your job instantly" Luke said with power

Alam ng binata na pwede makipagusap si Tellé ng ganito sa kaniya dahil matagal na rin sila magkakilala nito dahil sa tulong na binigay niya noon sa dalaga. "I don't care, do I look like i'm scared? So let me repeat the question. Do you like her?" She said in a serious tone. Does he like her? that's the question that is now circling through Luke's mind.

 He stared at his paper for a second then seriously looked up at Tellé "No, now get out of my face" He said but Tellé doesn't say anything, then seconds passed she started walking towards the door until she's out in his office.

Impossible magkagusto siya kay Yezia, Love is for the weak. Right?  He questioned himself

Then why so suddenly this girl is being thrown into his life? Bakit hindi nalang niya binalewala ang babae katulad ng ginagawa niya sa iba? 

'Fix your own s**t before it all goes down' He thought

"Ah what a wonderful morning" Yezia whispered while holding an iced coffee pero biglang nabawi yata ng dalaga ang sinabi niya ng bigla siyang napatid. Biglang may humawak sa may abdomen niya para mapigilan ang pagbagsak nito sa hospital tiles. "It is a very wonderful morning, Dra. Montes" a guy huskily said near her ear. An all too familiar voice, kaagad kumawala si Yezia sa pagkakahawa ng bintata.

"What in the worlds are you doing?" She said while raising her eyebrows 

"If i didn't catch you on time, sigurado ako na tatagos ka sa floor ng ospital nito. Like merging as one you know?" sabi ng binata habang nakangiti na para bang inaasar niya ang dalaga

"f**k off" She said lowly para silang dalawa lang ang makakarinig dalawa. "I'd gladly will" Then continued to walk toward his office. 

"You two sure are close, hm?" Veronica said out of the blue. What the heck, saan siya nanggaling? Yezia thought. "Good morning to you too, Dra. Fernandez" She said politely then started walking towards her office next to Luke.

Siguro sisimulan na ngayon ang pagaayos ng gagawing ward sa Wing C ng ospital na ito. Her phone rings inside her bag and she didn't let a minute passed dahil sinagot niya na ito agad. "Hello" 

Ngunit walang sumagot sa kabilang linya, it's dead silence so she tried again "Hello?" this is very unsettling for her dahil hindi pa siya nakakatanggap ng ganitong tawag for like in her entire life. Silenced filled once again in the other line so she decided to end the call but before she does that the other line started talking.

"Keep your eyes open, your ears pricked. Make sure no one's behind you because one day we'll find you and make you regret your decision" Matapos ang mga katagang iyon ay naputol na ang linya pero mukhang hindi pinaniwalaan ito ng dalaga. Another bullshit scam? Baka naman napagtripan lang siya ng mga bata.

But it did send some chills through her spine. 

Once again Yezia is taking lead inside the emergency room tonight and she's in the same room with Yuan and Veronica. Hindi ganuon karami ang pasyente so it's not really a hectic night, every nurse and every doctor is doing a great job tonight. 

"So kailan ka po nagkaroon ng lagnat?" Yezia asked the teenage boy around 15 with his mom beside him

"Last week, the fever is actually up and down. Then there are times na masusuka nalang ako, also yesterday my gums bleed. Some pain behind my eyes, severe headache lastly skin rash" He said

There's a big possibility na dengue ito.

"I suggest you take the Dengue duo test, someone will take your blood and pee then they will run a test on that. After 2 hours pwede niyo na po kunin yung results sa laboratory which will be on the Wing B" pinaliwanag niya sa mag-ina

"Thank you, Dra. Montes" The teenager's mom said while he just genuinely smiled at Yezia. "No problem, Lissa i need his blood and pee na maipadala agad sa laboratory okay?" She said softly, Lissa just nod then start getting some stuff.

Umalis na siya sa ward ng mag-ina at umupo sa usual chair niya tuwing nasa ER siya, after one operation then some appointments and another upcoming surgery mamaya. Napamasahe nalang siya sa sintido niya habang nakayuko siya. 

Minutes passed and the ER door opened and the EMT's voice was heard throughout the room "I need someone here asap!" Sigaw nito ang unang lumapit sa pasyente na pumasok ay si Veronica 

"What happened?" Tanong ni Veronica, rinig sa buong ER ang tanong na iyon kaya napatayo nalang si Yezia sa pagkakaupo niya at lumapit sa pasyente, nung una hindi niya namukaan ito dahil sa pagkapula ng mukha pero nung tinitigan niya pa ito ng matagal nagulat siya kung sino nakahiga ngayon sa ER bed.

Ian? ano nangyari sakaniya? Yezia questioned herself. Nandito naman si Veronica kaya na niya i handle ito. Nagsimula na ulit maglakad si Yezia pabalik sa upuan pero bigla niya narinig magsalita ang EMT "He's having anaphylaxis reaction" 

Yezia is fighting her self whether she should let Veronica handle this or siya, naglakad ulit siya making up his mind na wag na siyang tulungan at ipaubaya nalang sa ibang doctor. "He's dying!" Sigaw ni Veronica

Mabilis na bumalik si Yezia sa higaan kung nasaan si Ian "Move" She sternly said, umalis si Veronica sa kinatatayuan niya and she's not pleased that Yezia stole her spotlight.

"What triggered the reaction? " Yezia asked 

"Food, it's peanuts. I did CPR on him dahil napatigil siya sa paghinga" 

"Did you already inject him some epinephrine?" the EMT nod

Pinakinggan ng dalaga ang heartbeat nito at chineck ang paghinga nito, it's good but at the same time pag hindi naagapan mahihirapan siya huminga.

"Dra. Fernandez  give me some anthistamine " Yezia ordered, after Veronica grab what she ordered tinapos na niya ang mga iba pa niyang ginawa kay Ian dahilan para maging maayos na ang paghinga ng binata. 

Ian did some horrible things to her but she did what any person would do. Save his life.

Three days after that incident, last day na ni Ian sa ospital na ito at siya na ang haharap sa kaniya dahil si Veronica ang inassign niya na mag-check kay Ian lagi.  Pumasok na si Yezia sa kwarto ni Ian at dumiretso ito sa higaan nito, hindi na niya sinarado ang pintuan ng kwarto dahil maya-maya may wheelchair na darating dito.

"How are you feeling Ian?" She said, minulat ni Ian ang mata niya at nagulat siya na ang dalagang ito ay nasa harapan niya. Hindi ito yung laging nag che-check sa kaniya. Ito yung babaeng sinaktan niya.

"I'm fine. Nakakahinga na ako ng maayos, by the way, thank you for saving me" He said with a smile

"How can you be so sure na ako nga nagligtas sayo, hm?" Yezia said while scribbling some words on the papers she's holding

"Instincts, i know you can't bear the sight of me suffering"

Ugh, this guy is really something else. "I just did what any doctors would do, Mr. Beckket" 

Seconds passed at natapos na ng dalaga ang sinusulat niya habang tinitingnan lang siya ng binata "I think you're good to go, may pupunta dito mamaya na may wheel chair he will assist you hanggang entrance. I'm gonna go now stay safe" She said sternly hindi na katulad dati na laging napakalambot ng boses pag nakikipagusap sa kaniya.

Tumalikod na ang dalaga at aalis na ng biglang hinila ito ni Ian sa kamay dahilan para mapasubsob siya sa dibdib nito at magkalapit ang mukha ng dalawa. "Let me go Ian" 

"I don't want to let you go again Yezia" He said, tinry ng dalaga makawala sa pagkakahawak ni ian sa kaniya pero mahigpit ang hawak niya dito. "I said let me go Ian!" sigaw ng dalaga, pero hindi nakinig ang binata at inilapit ang mukha sa kaniya magtatangka na halikan si Yezia.

God damn it. 

Tinry ulit pumiglas ni Yezia habang papalapit ng papalapit ang labi ni Ian pero natigilan ang binata ng may biglang malamig na likido ang bumuhos sa mukha nito dahilan para malagyan ang dalaga sa buhok.

"Who the f**k?" Sigaw ni Ian at tumingin sa taong nagbuhos nito habang hawak parin and dalaga

"Oh i'm sorry, I thought you need water for your thirsty ass behavior towards my fiancee" the voice is familiar to Yezia kaya kilala na niya ito agad sa boses palang.

Hinila ni Luke ang dalaga mula kay Ian at pagtayo nito inalalayan ito agad ni Luke sa paghawak niya sa bewang ni Yezia. "I thought we established the part Mr. Beckket that Yezia is my fiancee and there is a clear message in her voice earlier that she wants to be let go" He said darkly

"Ah, Mr. Zaveri my bad, I thought the fiance thing is all just an act" Ian smirked while the last word slips off in his lips

Luke glared at him then suddenly give him an all genuine smile "Let me show you" Luke said before looking at Yezia then gently kissed her.

Oh my god! That's the only word that popped in her head before the chills and the butterflies start erupting in her body, he caught her off guard. Bago pa maitulak ni Yezia si Luke humiwalay na ito sa pagkakahalik at tumingin kay Ian. "This is the last time I will be seeing you doing that stunt in front of her, or else you'll end up in a morgue" He said darkly while his eyes are expressionless. 

"Let's go, Agapi mou " Sabi ni Luke at dumiretso ang dalawa sa labas habang hawak ng binata ang bewang niya. Nang nakalabas na sila parehas sa kwarto inintay muna ni Yezia na makalayo sila at buti nalang may nakita siyang fire exit kaya duon pumasok ang dalawa. Pagpasok nila tinanggal na agad ng dalaga ang kamay na nasa bewang niya at hinampas sa balikat ang binata. 

"You kissed me without my permission!" She screamed lowly

"Oh so do I need your permission then?" He said while walking toward her causing Yezia to take a step backward

"N-no that's not what I meant dipshit!" 

Hindi nagsalita si Luke at patuloy maglakad hanggang sa tumama na likod ng dalaga sa pader dun lang ito tumigil sa paglalakad at hinarang siya gamit ang dalawa nitong braso. "I dare you say that curse word to me again" 

"What word? Oh yeah dipsh-" hindi naituloy ng dalaga ang sasabihin niya ng lumapit mukha ni Luke lalo sa kaniya. "Admit it you enjoyed the kiss" He said in a hoarse voice

Tiningnan niya sa mata si Luke bago ngumiti "In your dreams" tapos inapakan siya ng napakalakas sa paa nito, naglakad na ang dalaga sa pintuan ng fire exit para pumasok na ulit sa ospital pero tumingin muna siya kay Luke na hawak-hawak ang paa.

"I think you'll need an ice for that, ciao!" She said while smiling while he just glared at her before, pumasok na siya at nagsimula na maglakad papuntang elevator. Pagpasok niya ay kaagad niyang pinindot ang floor kung nasaan ang office niya. The music inside the elevator eases the stress today but a sudden thought suddenly invades her mind.

Looks like the word love is starting to bloom again in her life and it's clear that it's not going to be healthy if that guy is going to be Luke. She knows what kind of guy he is, always gonna put his work first. It's not healthy for her.

Love is so unfair and i'm not gonna let it conquer me...
