CHAPTER 7

(Somewhere above the ground)

"I'm afraid something will happen" Sabi ng babae na maikli ang buhok, hinawakan ito sa kamay ng lalaki na nasa harapan niya kung saan may inaasikaso sa laptop nito.

They were partners, lovers. In a very dangerous job.

"I know, but it's gonna be okay. I promise" ngumiti ang lalaki

Ngumiti nalang ang babae tsaka tumayo at dumiretso sa bathroom ng eroplano. Everything is quiet not until lumabas ang isang pilot mula sa harapan at dumiretso sa sink.

"How's everything going?" tanong ng pilot habang naghuhugas ng kamay

"everything is fine" Sabi ng lalaki at sinimulan na magsend ang file at tinago ang vile sa naglalaman ng likido sa purse ng babae. Palihim nito kinuha ang baril sa gilid niya at sinabayan ang pagkatutok ng pilot ng baril sa kaniya.

"My Oh my, I heard you're his greatest agent when it comes to business" Nakangiti na sabi ng pilot

Lumabas na ang babae sa bathroom pero kaagad ito nahablot ng pilot bago pa man makalakad papunta sa lalaki.

"Too bad, dalawa lang kayo. Tatlo kami" pagkasabi ng pilot nuon ay may lumabas na dalawang lalaki mula sa likuran ng eroplano.

Fuck s**t, both of the agents thought.

Tinitigan lang ng lalaki yung babae letting her know what to do, the girl just nods then grab her knife through her thighs.

Siniko ng babae ang pilot dahilan nito para mabaril siya sa abdomen part nito. "No!" sigaw ng partner niya

Binaril nito ang pilot sa tuhod parehas at sinunod ang tama ng baril sa dalawa pa na kasama nito tsaka kaagad binitawan para dumiretso sa babae.

"C'mon up you go" he said then lift her up sa upuan

"T-the file" Sinabi ng babae at tsaka umubo ito ng dugo, kinuha ng lalaki ang laptop at may pinindot siya para mas mapabilis ang pag send ng file.

"Stay with me please" pagmamakaawa ng lalaki pero tuluyan na nawalan ng hininga ang babae. "No, God damn it!" sigaw nito

Inasikaso na muli niya ang file at hinahanap ang vile. "where's the vile, the vile" paulit-ulit nito sinabi ng lalaki ngunit hindi nito mahanap ang purse kung saan niya nailagay ang vile.

"Is this the liquid?" Sinabi ng boses sa likod niya "Looks like my boss will be happy if I gladly brought this" pahabol nito

Leche, nabuhay pa ang isa sa kanila, inisip ng lalaki.

Kaagad nito sinugod ang taong may hawak ng vile at tsaka sinapak ito sa mukha pero binawian naman ito ng kalaban niya ng saksak.

Shit. Sinaksak paulit-ulit siya nito sa tiyan at tsaka tumigil lang hanggang sa sigurado na hindi siya makakasurvive.

The gun and window, that's the only way.

Kinuha na ng tao ang vile at sinimulan na mag lakad sa pintuan ng eroplano para makapag parachute siya pero hindi ito kaagad niya nagawa nang nagsalita ang agent

"You're forgetting something" He said

"Sigurado akong wala, pero sige I'll let you play for a second. What is it?" Sabi ng lalaki na may hawak na vile

"you're forgetting death asshole" Sabi ng agent at binaril ang bintana ng eroplano dahilan para lumipad ang vile at lumaki ang butas na ginawa ng agent.

"Sayonara you dickface" Pahabol ng agent bago tangayin ang nagiisa niyang kalaban. He looked at her right to see her lover, partner. Dead. They did die young but they surely make the most out of it.

The laptop makes a sound saying that the file is already sent to someone. The vile didn't make it but the file did.

You better get that Luke.

Nasa small meeting room ngayong ang lahat ng mga Doctor, there is going to be a research na mangyayari this week.

"Good morning" Sabi ni Mr. Alexander

Lahat ng nasa kwarto ay simpleng tumango lang regarding his presence. "Today I need a research about this disease every doctor especially who specialize in cardiology that means Veronica, Yuan and Yezia you'll lead them to find some information about this disease" Paliwanag nito

Yezia just randomly nod and smile, another hectic day huh? She thought. "Good luck working with me, Dra. Montes" Bulong ni Veronica

"That's all, you can go back working now" He smiled then walkout

"So what's the plan guys!" Maligayang sinabi ni Yuan sa harap ng dalawang babae

"We're going to have a plan, how about we eat together at lunch?" Veronica suggest 

Well isa lang naman ang may appointment and no surgeries right now si Yezia so it's a good idea to plan together, mas magkakaintindihan. "Sure" She said then Yuan gave both of them a big attractive smile but it doesn't stir Yezia up like Luke used to.

Damn, Luke na naman? I swear to god if that guy popped up in front of us right now, i'm gonna lose my sanity. "Anyway, i'm gonna go now" She said the turn around pero tumama siya sa isang tao. "I'm sorry, hindi ko napansin na may tao pala sa likod ko" Yezia said softly

The person in front of her used their hands to lift up Yezia's face "don't worry Agapi mou, basta ako tinatamaan mo i'm totally fine with that" the guy said with a smirk

Luke Zaveri! 

"Are you seeing this?" Yuan whispered with excitement present in his voice

"Shut the hell up, Yuan" Veronica bitterly said

Yezia slaps his hand away then glared at him "Dipshit" She lowly said then make her way out of the room. Luke just smiled then turned his gaze to Yuan. "Yuan let's have a lunch together" He said

"I can't Luke, oh wait- you can! Your fiance will be there too!" Yuan said with a smirk

"Fiance?" Veronica questioned

"Yeah, Dra. Yezia Montes. Hindi mo alam?" 

Luke immediately understood what his friend is talking about "Oh Yuan, that information is a secret right?" Luke said darkly 

"Don't worry, Veronica is friends with your woman" Yuan eagerly said

Luke liked the word when Yuan said, His woman. But unfortunately walang namamagitan sa dalawa maliban sa salitang accquaintance. Yuan then walk toward the door with a smirk present in his face at kasunod nito maglakad si Veronica pero tumigil siya sa harap ni Luke.

"Fiancee, huh" She said while smirking then walks toward the exit.

Luke just shake his head then follow them outside the room.

Yezia is now in line waiting for her turn na mamili ng kakainin niya for today's lunch. Five more person at siya na. Iniikot muna niya ang paningin niya nang nahagip ng mga mata niya si Luke na pipila rin. Ngunit pumila ito sa tabi kung saan siya pumipila.

Her line moved so does his line, there is no way na makakasabay niya si Luke sa pagpili ng pagkain right? Sa sobra yatang tagal ng tingin ng dalaga napangiti nalang si Luke at sinalubong na ang tingin ng babae. Dahilan para mapabalik agad ang tingin ni Yezia sa harap. 

Oh s**t, He knows. 

The line move once again and again hanggang si Yezia na ang kasunod, hinanap niya muli si Luke sa likuran pero mukhang hindi niya ito mahanap "Looking for me?" Sabi ni Luke na nasa harap niya. 

"Next!" Sabi ng Chef bago pa makapagsalita ang dalaga

"Carbonara please" Sabay nilang sinabi

Napatingin nalang ang Chef sa kanilang dalawa ni Luke at nagsalita "There's only one left, so decide kung kanino ko ibibigay" 

"Give it to the girl" Luke said 

"No, I'll just have the Lasagna" She replied calmly. Natahimik nalang ang Chef at muli silang tiningnan dalawa, magsasalita na muli ito nang biglang may sumingit "Ugh, kung walang kukuha sainyo niyan, i'll gladly take it" Yuan said confidently then the Chef give it to him knowing that Yuan is the son of the owner of this Hospital pwede siyang sumingit sa pila.

Kumuha nalang ang dalaga ng Lasagna as for Luke, kumuha nalang siya ng roasted chicken. They all sat in one table discussing kung ano-ano ang mga kailangan nila alamin sa disease na binigay ng tatay ni Yuan. Siguro binigay ito ni Mr. Alexander dahil gusto niya i-challenge si Yuan pagdating sa knowledge ng mga bagong sakit.

So Yezia gave him the hardest part of the research, after that, they all talk about interesting things even Luke's work and what kind of things Yuan did nung hindi niya pa gusto tanggapin ang ospital.

The lunch end with a smile planted in their face, nauna na umalis si Veronica at Yuan. Ang dalaga nalang at siya ang naiwan sa lunch room or more specifically, in the table. "Goodluck in your team's research, Agapi mou" He said then flash a smile followed by a wink

Her heart skips a beat. She liked it for the first time.

"Thank you?" She said but came out as a question

"No problem" He smiled for the last time then stands up and walk towards the exit

Damn, almost Yezia. Almost.

it's late at night at nasa opisina parin si Luke ng ospital finishing some design sa gagawin niyang ward, wala na ganuong tao sa floor nila. Wala narin si Yezia dahil maaga ito umuwi kanina. Luke is busy doing some designs when a notification in his laptop suddenly popped in. 

Vile in a file

Luke opened the file, dalawang lokasyon ang sumalubong sa kaniya. One in the Canada and one in France. Then out of a blue there's a video popped up. It's his Loyal agent and his lover.

'Mr. Zaveri someone is on our tails right now, we might die later or tommorow but if you get this file then the vile is gone dahil bago pa makuha ang vile ay sisiguraduhin ko na sisirain ko ito. Like you said before you send us in the mission, but inside this file is the last country where you can find the last two liquid that you can use for the last product that will be used in your upcoming drugs. We hope we did our best as your agent, also finish the drug that's our wish for you before we die. It's nice that you're part of our life, Mr. Zaveri. One last wish, pag natapos na ito lahat sana mahanap mo na yung babaeng magmamahal sayo ng tunay, i hope you can find someone who will cherish you' 

Hiroto said the last sentence smiling while looking at his lover, one of his trusted agents die because of him. Nagsisimula na ulit sila kumilos, and that's a good thing. A knock suddenly echoes throughout the floor and his room. 

Who might that be?

Wala pa sinasabi si Luke na 'Come in' ay kaagad na winelcome ng taong ito ang sarili niya sa opisina ni Luke at dumiretso sa table nito. "Veronica what are you doing here" He said without any emotion present in his voice. Veronica continued to walk toward him until she finally sat in Luke's lap and intertwined her arms around his body.

Hinubad ng dalaga ang doctor's coat at suot-suot niya ay isang lingerie na kulay blue, it is so short that any man would instantly devour her because of her seductive appearance and clothing but not Luke.

"Luke" She seductively whispered in his ear then out of the blue Luke stands up and hold Veronica down in his table while both of her arms were trapped in Luke's iron grip. He dip his head down in her neck then breath heavily "Luke i'm much more gorgeous and smarter than Yezia. Throw her, let me be your woman" She said in a hoarse voice

Luke chuckles darkly then suddenly pushed her off his table with full force causing Veronica's face to have a scratch on her right cheek. "Slut" Luke emphasized that word before talking again

"You'd really think you can talk to me like that? If it weren't for Yezia matagal na kita dinisrespect and throw some offensive words at you" He said while fixing some papers and closing his laptop then kneeled down and grab Veronica's chin harshly while staring at her dangerously.

"You will never be on the same level as Yezia. Remember only Yezia can be my woman" After that Luke once again harshly let go Veronica's chin at lumabas na sa opisina niya. 

What a pathetic girl...
