I found myself a bit bewildered at how fast Aiden was adapting to his new surroundings. While I was thankful that he wasn't taking the change too harshly, hearing him call Alessio 'papa' threw me for a loop. “Aiden... Why did you say that to Alessio and why are you calling him Papa now?”
Aiden closed his book and cheekily squeezed his mother's cheeks. “Because it's appwopwiate!” he declared with a mischievous grin.
“Oh? And why do you think it's appropriate?” I questioned.
“Because, momma.” he replied simply, making me chuckle. “Oh well... I thought you were starting to like him,” I quipped.
Aiden shook his head. “Nwope! I still like momma more.”
Although his words and my question may have sounded childish, I couldn't help but wonder what was going through Aiden's mind. It was a relief that he wasn't becoming too attached to Alessio just yet, as that could pose some challenges in the future. God knew what that fucker was capable of.

Olivia was in a fit of rage as she destroyed anything within her reach in the room. The maids observing her sighed tiredly as they both knew this was going to be a lengthy ordeal.
“How could she do this, Ona?!” Olivia screamed, her anger palpable.
Both maids exchanged solemn glances, understanding the gravity of the situation.
“What could have possibly compelled that woman to return? Precious, any thoughts on what she might want? Why does that b***h want to wreck my home when I've gotten so close!” Olivia demanded.
“I-I have no idea, madam,” Precious stammered.
“What a useless response!” Olivia shrieked, narrowly missing Precious's head as she hurled a vase in her direction.
Ona, the other maid, attempted to calm Olivia. “There's no need to be so on edge, madam.”
“And why is that, Ona?” Olivia challenged.
Ona hesitated for a moment before responding confidently, “Because you are The Master's fiancée now. Miss Camilla may have a child, but you hold greater significance as his betrothed. No child can come between you and him, madam. This is also something the families have decided on a long time ago.”
“That's true,” Olivia mused. “Well then, help me get ready for the day. I must visit Alessio's grandmother to discuss this woman trying to disrupt our home. Perhaps after that, the old hag will finally be on my side.”
Ona couldn't help but silently laugh at Olivia's bravado, knowing deep down that Olivia's actions may lead to regret in the future.

“Can't you just act like a baby for a change and let me feed you?” I playfully urged Aiden, watching as he stubbornly faced his meal on the kitchen counter.
“The young master is absolutely adorable! Look at him, not a mess in sight. You must have done a wonderful job teaching him,” Jay exclaimed with delight. Even back when I was merely engaged to Al, Jay always carried herself with such grace and poise which she did not hesitate to make sure she beat into me every chance she got. I practiced and did it.
“Well, I wish I could take all the credit, but he caught on quickly by mimicking me,” I explained, chuckling at Aiden's eagerness to learn.
“He's so clever,” Jay gushed with admiration.
“Momma was and ish a great tweacher!” Aiden chimed in proudly between bites of the apple slices I had prepared.
“Aw, thank you, sweetheart--”
Before I could finish expressing my gratitude to Aiden, our tender moment was abruptly interrupted.
“Well, well. If it isn't the slut and her bastard,” a cold voice sneered from the doorway.

Upon hearing Olivia's words, Camilla immediately covered Aiden's ears to prevent him from hearing anymore.
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me! You can never have my man. You gold-digging, annoying human.”
“Okay, listen up, Olivia. First off, my name is Camilla, and I want absolutely nothing to do with your husband. Heck, if I had my way, I'd be anywhere but here.”
“Then why are you here if not for money?”
“Well, that and the fact he begged me to bring his son. Listen, that may sound like he betrayed you or something, but if you ask anyone who knew our marriage inside out two years ago, we weren't in love or anything.”
“You b***h!”
At this point, Aiden had covered his ears on his own and stopped eating. Camilla noticed and peered down at him.
“Hey, baby, just keep eating, okay? Let Momma cover your ears for you.”
“But Momma scawy lady is saying bad things.”
“Pfft. Let me cover them, okay?”
Aiden nodded and resumed his meal.
“Listen, Olivia, this little spat of yours is over. Even a sane lady would know that I don't have any feelings for Alessio. I kept away from him.”
“Then how did he find you slut?”
“Tch. Mind your language, lady! There's a baby here!” Camilla yelled at Lilith which made her unknowingly flinched at the statement but quickly regained herself.
“That is no concern of mine. How did you get in contact with my fiancé.”
“When you've calmed down a bit, I'll tell you, but for now, go see whoever it is you plan to see.”
“How did you-”
“Ah, yes. Quick tip. You see that stuff you tried on the plane where you were acting rude? If it were a savage media person, your face would be plastered all over the papers with no chance to recover.”
Lilith scowled at Camilla's statement and retorted, “Hmph! My family is the third richest in the country. There is no way any of those media pigs can do anything to me.”
Camilla sighed with pity as she shook her head at Olivia's naivety.
“You really don't know what you've signed up for.”
