Fateful Encounter

The Sarlino Pack was Astrid's home, she grew up within the pack and didn't know anywhere else. Her mother was a small Luna, about '4 5' in height, with short strawberry blonde curled hair. It normally sat just touching her neck. Her nature was soft and gentle, most of the pack looked up to her for guidance and her soft golden eyes helped people feel calm whenever she was around. Her father was slightly taller standing about '5 '9, his hair was short, straight and jet black. He usually used a little bit of gel to smooth it back keeping it in check. Even though he was the father to her, his duties always seemed to come before her. It didn't really matter how she felt or what she needed from him. He made sure to adhere to her physical needs such as food and protection from the outside world. Apart from that, he was cold and distant. Astrid walked along the hallway and into her room. The room was close to her parent's room, only one wall away to be exact. She gently closed the wooden door, parts of the white paint flaking off onto her carpeted floor. She shook her head, annoyed but knew her father would be angry if she brought it up again for the 100th time in the last week. She fell onto her queen sized bed and looked up at her ceiling, watching the glass roof above her bed which her parents had installed for her 10th birthday. As the Alpha's daughter, her birthdays always seemed way too extravagant and extreme but the glass roof was the best gift she had ever received from them. She smiled watching the stars reflect in the light off the glass. It was a pleasant night with a clear sky to see the bright white stars. As she stared into the orbs, her eyes began to close as she fell asleep. Her name being called in her dream took her by suprise, she looked around and found herself in a strange white snowy forest. The ground was softly littered with blackened tree roots and smoke was consuming the area. Bodies were being dragged and arms and other body parts were falling into ashes on the ground. Fire was consuming everything, everywhere she looked there were heads being rolled off bodies due to the heat splitting the tissue and surrounding muscles to the body. Her mouth dropped and she began screaming for help, she ran around the area looking for someone but no one was in sight. She screamed and screamed louder and louder. All of a sudden, she heard a voice then her mind was being plagued by voices. Her eyes began twitching uncontrollably and her legs dropped to the ground unable to hold her body weight any longer. Her arms began to tremble and she dug her fingers into the ashy white ground. Flickers of light and electrical current shimmered in her palms. She began screaming as it flooded out of her and ran across the terrain flooding everything in light. Her eyes became a bright orange colour and the terrain became a beautiful white forest with trees that beamed with life. All the bodies were gone and there was no fire to be seen.
