I was still fuming about the interaction with Gregor’s mother. I had other things to think about though. Caleb would be starting school soon. I sat at the island in the kitchen writing down the things we would need for him.

I was also going to have to register him for school.

“You need to stop scowling. That line in your forehead is pretty deep already.” I rubbed the bridge of my nose and shot Melina an annoyed look. She always seemed to have it together, even if she really didn’t.

“Isn’t Isla going to preschool?” There were all these requirements that Isla’s school demanded of a baby.

“Yeah, but Wuggie is helping whenever he can.”

“How is your husband? I haven’t heard much from you about him.” I put my pen down and gave her my full attention.

“Oh, he has some leave soon and will be coming to visit. He wanted to know if I wanted to live on base with him and I politely declined. I would prefer to stay in one spot. My grandfather was a military man and he dragged my mother all over.” Isla was gurgling happily as she played with one of the cats.

“You two going to need a little alone time?” I wiggled my eyebrows and she blushed.

“Eww I know you did not just talk about my brother getting it in with my sister.” Melina threw some cereal at Jer as he wandered in wearing a silk robe and fuzzy slippers.

“You realize how wrong that sounded right? Are you wearing underwear under that thing? I don’t want to accidentally see your bits and pieces.” He wiggled his butt at me and snatched the list out of my hand.

“Our boy is going to school already? So which school are we sending him to?” That was another thing I was wondering as well.

“Why don’t we all have a day of it and check out the schools? Private and Public Schools.” Baba sauntered in and my jaw hit the floor, she was wearing this black leather teddy and high heels, and her rear was clad in fishnets.

“What the… OK well, I’m done for the day.” Melina ushered Isla out of the kitchen and Baba looked down at herself and blushed.

“Well, Felix wanted to roleplay….”

“NOPE NO DEFINITELY NO!” I threw my hands over my ears and Jer was still staring, his coffee cup dangling from his fingers.

“What is the ruckus…OH SWEET BABY JESUS WHAT THE HELL BABA!!” Cassius looked like he wanted to throw up and Baba rolled her eyes.

“It is called a dominatrix teddy. At least that is what the website said. You should see the cute mask I got for Felix.” Jer shook his head and continued to gawk as Baba raised two mugs of coffee and left us all speechless.

“WHAT THE OH MY GOD PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!” We all smirked as we heard Sully’s displeasure at seeing Baba.

“Oh please son, I am still virile, and look, don’t my breasts look amazing!” There was a scream and the sound of a door slamming.

“Someone may want to go console Young Mackenzie. I think I scarred him. I’m going back to my room if you need me to go school shopping text me in two hours.” We all heard another door close and I shuddered.

“That was more of Baba than I ever wanted to see. I think we need to establish some ground rules.” Cassius sat down and he cringed at the thought as well.

“Yeah, but who is actually going to tell Baba she needs to follow the rules?” I sipped my coffee and shook my head.

“I nominate Jer, she likes him and they look like they are probably the same size shoes.” I spit my coffee out and started choking.

“Listen here you Russian Nesting Doll…” I continued, choking and wiping up the coffee.

“Yeah, what do you want to say, Princess Barbie? Don’t tell me you weren’t thinking about borrowing Baba’s dominatrix gear.” I stood up and grabbed a thermos and poured coffee into it. I did not want to be around for this conversation.

“I’m going to check on Sully, the poor guy is probably trying to bleach his eyeballs.” Both men stopped to stare at me and I narrowed my eyes at them.

“What is wrong with you two?” Cassius smirked and put his arm around Jer and they looked at one another.

“Nothing, we just think that maybe you should get back in the saddle again.” Jer wiggled his eyebrows and I felt my cheeks heat up.

“I mean I’m sure Baba has some tips and a saddle you can borrow.” Cassius wiggled his eyebrows and I stalked out of the kitchen disgusted with them both.

“You’re both giant asshats!” they weren’t wrong about getting back into the dating scene. I just didn’t know if I wanted to yet.

Alexei and I never truly dated. Actually, I don’t think any guy I have been with has been a normal relationship. We either jumped into the titles too quickly or jumped into bed too quickly.

I heard Sully grunting and cursing in the stable and decided to see if he needed a hand. I opened the door and saw his muscled back rippling as he was fighting with one of the lambs. He looked up and smiled.

“Great, help me give this little ewe her medicine. Daniel was supposed to do it but he isn't back yet and I assured him that I was capable of medicating a sheep.” I sat the coffee down on the floor and rolled up my sleeves.

“Sorry about Baba, I can talk with her if you want.” The lamb let out an angry bleat and nipped at Sully. He let the thing go and it barreled toward me.

“No, you don’t you little fluffy demon.” She crashed into me and nearly sent me into the doors, but I bent down and scooped her up, holding her and trying to avoid getting headbutted. Sully glared at the lamb and then slipped the medicine down her throat.

“There we go, was that so bad?” She snapped at his hand again. She was a feisty little thing. I was setting her down and she slammed her head into my chest. I saw stars and landed on my butt with a loud thud.

I was gasping, she nailed me pretty well and I was having a hard time catching my breath.

“Anna? Are you OK? Come on, take off your shirt. Let me see what she did. I heard the impact all the way over here.” It hurt to raise my arms but I let him help me take off my shirt and he was feeling around on my chest.

“That is what I am talking about! I told you they would be fine Cassius!” I glanced at Jer and when he saw I had tears in my eyes he knew it wasn’t anything s****l.

“I didn’t think you were into the rough stuff, Sully.” Cassius came around the corner and his eyes fell on Sully’s hands on my chest.

“She was headbutted in the chest by that stupid demon lamb over there. Come on you perverts, at least do something helpful.” I closed my eyes and the pain was starting to subside a bit, but it hurt when I inhaled deeply.

“Seriously? I leave you alone and you switch teams on me?” I groaned and wanted to lie down.

“I only like baseball bats baby, about time you freaking came home. Anna was headbutted by a sheep and she couldn’t breathe.” I heard an exasperated sigh and then someone else was feeling me up. This was so not how I imagined my morning.

“This is not the reverse harem fantasy I wanted.” I was still gasping but I was able to stand up shakily.

“I hope you guys know I’m an animal doctor, not a human doctor. She should still get checked out.”

“Fine, I will do it.” I cracked my eyes open to see Cassius rolling up his sleeves and coming over to me.

“Are you a doctor?” I hissed through my teeth, or did he just want a feel? Oh, this was going to be some material to fantasize about later but the bones in my chest felt like they were burning.

“I was a medic in the army and started to go to school for medicine but it was not for me. You are awfully red Anna?” The way he said my name made me close my eyes again and try to think of unsexy things.

“By the way, Baba was wearing a leather teddy.” Jer piped up from the doorway. I raised my arm and gave him a thumbs-up.

“OK, we should probably still get some xrays but nothing feels broken. Your dirty pillows are fine. They might be sore and your sternum is bruised. Bruised is going to hurt like hell and be uncomfortable, but it is better than fractured or broken.” Cassius gave my chest another squeeze and I slapped his hands away.

“Now that everyone has seen my t**s are we all happy?” I winced as I put my shirt back on. Cassius winked at me and Sully was looking at his feet.

“Oh, I have seen your t**s enough to know they don’t faze me.” I flipped Jer off as I stalked out of the stable shooting the rogue lamb an annoyed look. I could have sworn that animal was smiling at me and she knew what she was doing.

“I’M GOING TO TAKE A SHOWER AND THEN WE NEED TO GET CALEB READY FOR SCHOOL.” I could hear Jer say something and then all the men laughing. Uggh stupid boys. I was so outnumbered in the house!

They were right though, it might be time to start dating and get back in the saddle again. I was also thoroughly turned on by both Cassius and Sullivan Mackenzie.

I better make it a very cold shower.
