"Why are we here again" I complain as I look around the ashen land before look over at iven my twin brother he looks exactly like me with black hair, tan skin and eyes the color of onyx interrupted by flakes of gold of course my hair is longer than my twins " let's go home iven" iven glances at me from where he's crouching examining a log "iva calm down mom doesn't have to know" I lift my thin cotton gown and move to stand by his shoulder "iven if mom catches us by the border again she's going to murder us" iven grinds up at me "that's why you're on look out" I roll my eyes at him and grab his arm pulling him up "let's go before mom finds us" I practically drag him up the hill to our house and then drag him up back into the dense forest at the sight of the royal carriages at least five in total. I scream as someone grabs me from behind and dragging us onto the lawn "found'um" the soldier says as he drops us In Front of the captain. I look up into eyes the color of the sky "good we need more maides " the captain says his voice gruff as the captain ran his hand over my cheek and iven stiffed " this one's very pretty she'll make a good maiden"the captain looked at iven " this one a good Steward" the captain shoved us towards a carriage and the guards tossed us inside the and we began the long and tiresome trip to the castle ★★★ The carriage windows opens to the most beautiful building I've ever seen the white walls and glittering blue Arched stained glass windows at the top of each of the four towers of the wall that protects the massive castle the guards at the gate allowed us through and we arrive at the stables and dragged out of the carriage a guard pushed iven to Short stubby Stewart with brown shaggy hair and blue eyes I was pushed towards a young woman who has long brown hair, brown eyes small and pointed ears give her away as a fae, her small round face that is currently plaster with shock "make them presentable" the captain orders "their to meet the queen" the woman gently grabs my arm and dragging me through a small wooden door adorned with black hinges yup definitely a service entrance , down dark cramped wooden hallways and into a huge lavender color room with a pool decorated with shrubs and bushes a water fall feed the pool and small rooms dots the far wall as steam flows out from under the doors a bath hall we're in a bath hall "what's your name" I ask the woman currently dragging me twords one of the doors "Addie"she says politely"mis you need to go into the bath so I can get your clothes and get you ready to meet the queen " I don't want to get poor Addie in trouble so I quickly bath and come out of the bathing chamber in a white chemise Addie holds a Rich green dress that has 8 petty coats sown into the skirt Addie pulled the dress on me tightening. The laces on the sides and then tying my hair into a tight bun at the top of my head. Addie humms as she applies makeup to my face when she's finished she drags me in front of a tall full length mirror. I stare stunned by my reflection my black hair is tied on the top of my head and the green slik gown with it's black ribbons compliments my Rich tan skin beautifully and the kohl around my eyes to make them pop , red lipstick " I look" I stop myself and swallow" I look like a noble woman" Addie smiles " well then it's time to meet the queen" she grabs my arm and leads me out into the hallway the stone walls are lined with gold banners and lanterns a set of orange double doors with wolves craved in the handles open To a magnificent throne room where the queen sits on a huge golden throne, her son stand behind her I bow with addi in front of the queen. The queen of light clicked her tongue "is this the new maid" the captain steps forward "yes your grace. Her twin brother as well" he gestures to the door where iven is lead into the room with the Stewart from earlier. Iven in was in a red doublet with black beaches and knees high black boots. The queen eyes us a with a smile " make her my son's new handmaiden" she looks At my brother"and that one his Stewart but don't get me wrong if you displease me or my son you will be executed"
