He looked at me with his saying a lot then he said " it wouldn't have changed anything "
"Really" i said my anger dropping down to sadness.
"Yes,Kimberly your a child" he made attempt to continue walking away .
My eyes welling up with tears i screamed "stop"
He turned to look at me seeing me in tears his eyes deemed and he was about walking up to me when my mum came at us .
“What's the matter baby girl” she asked with worry in her eyes cupping my cheek with her palm .
I was stunned and I stepped back from her and looked at Roland’s direction.
“Roland honey ,what’s the matter. Why is she crying?”
“Um… Um it’s nothing ,she was dancing with a guy in an inappropriate manner and I pulled her away that’s why . She said it’s her birthday she should be allowed to have fun”
My mum looked back at me and pulled me into a hug “ it’s ok baby girl that shouldn’t make you cry”
I heaved a sign of relief but at the same time I was mad at her for interrupting . I pulled myself out of her grip ,looked at Roland and left them there .
I ran to my room with a lot going on in my head about Roland being my mate and him knowing all along . Then I thought about the time in the wood when he kissed my neck .
I closed my eyes and laid on my bed wanting to go deeper on what else could have happened after the neck kiss he gave me .
Suddenly I heard a loud sound I slowly opened my door to take a peek only to find out it was our guest who were drunk ,they were beginning to make a mess of the house .
I rolled my eyes disgustingly and decided to go tell my mum to ask them out.I lazily dragged my legs slowly because I was exhausted when I got to the room I knocked and there was no response. When I opened I saw my mother unbuttoning Roland’s clothes I raged with anger as I slammed the door and went down stairs .
Then I screamed “Get out all of you leave my house leave”
“Kimberly” I heard my name and look up at the stairs and saw my mum .
“What’s the matter ,you have been acting off lately”
I immediately removed my gaze from her and ran to my room and locked my door.
Next morning
The sun rays hit my face and immediately I turned to the other side lazily . I heard a knock on my door I knew it was my mum signaling me to get ready for school. I stood up and went to the mirror “ I want him to look at me ,why won’t he love me”I said to myself. I hissed then decided that I would stay clear from him.
I took my bath ,dressed up and was about heading down stairs when I saw him coming out of the room . I stopped and gave him a stare expecting him to say something but he did’t . I cared less that i didn’t greet him . I quickly ran downstairs and banged the front door .

In class I was moody through out my best friends came up to me and I didn’t even notice.
“Kimberly” Nathan called me .
“Hey girly,what’s with you” Sonia tapped my shoulder .
“Uh ,uh … guys sorry I was lost” I said wiping my face with my palm.
“ Hmm ok so what were you thinking about” Nathan asked looking at me with curiosity.
I stood up from my seat an packed my books picked up my bag while they followed.
“Nothing guys , I was just missing my Dad that’s all” I said looking at them to see if they were convinced . I can’t tell anyone that I have feelings for my stepfather, it’s forbidden.
“ Awwwn come on girl it shouldn’t be weighing over you this much . It happened a long time ago” Sonia said patting me .
“And besides you have a new stepdad so he should make you miss your dad less”said Nathan rolling his eyes at me .
Nathan is a cute blonde haired guy he has been my best friend since child hood even before Sonia came along and when ever he spoke to me I can’t help smiling . He never fails to remind me that I have a stepfather since my mum married Roland. While Sonia was brunette she was calm she always has this motherly instinct when it comes to us her friends she’s a sweetheart.
We were interrupted by Rio the school famous cute guy who approached me .
“Hey Kimberly ,can I have a word with you”he asked with his blue eyes fixed on me.
Before I could turn to Nathan and Sonia to ask them to keep going so we’ll meet up later .
Sonia said “ see you later Kimberly” I watched as she dragged Nathan along with him cause I bet Nathan won’t agree to leave .
Smiling I said “ I’m listening Rio”
“Kim baby ,if you would let me call you that”
“It’s ok go ahead” I said
“ I want us to be friends. I really like you a lot . I just haven’t found the courage to tell you”he said trying to hold my hands
“Umm… what you like me , wow Rio I don’t want trouble from all the girls in school”I said pulling my hands away and taking few steps back .
He still moved forward to me and chuckled “come on I have nothing serious with them they are just my friends,you know I’m a social guy”. He said winking at me.
I immediately thought about it as a way to get over Roland and also make him jealous .
“ok then no problem” I said moving closer to him
He immediately threw his arms around my waist hugging me then sweeper me off my feet I was shocked .
“Put me down Rio” I said scared and unsure of this guy.
“Thank you Kim baby can I com visit you today” he asked
“um sure you can “ I stuttered .
“Here input your number” he said stretching out his hands to give me he his phone.
I took it and dailed my number .
“Here I will be free by six ok” I said walking away .
I still felt his gaze on my back . What in the world was that Rio , I still can’t believe it but I plan on taking Roland off my mind.
I went to the spot where I was supposed to meet my friends and immediately I saw them they asked “what did Rio want with you” I laughed because they both said it together .
“Calm down guys let me talk” I said walking towards them
“Come sit”Sonia said in excitement gesturing me to sit beside her.
“I know he’s up to no good “ Nathan said rolling his eye standing up eagerly waiting for me to tell them something.
“Well” I said clapping “ he confessed his feelings for me .
“Damn, I knew it” Nathan said .
“Really , are you kidding me” Sonia stood up “ that guy is a play boy” she said
“ Relax I ain’t done , he said he wants us to be friends and he spoke of how he has always liked me but couldn’t find out the right time to tell me” I told them .
“And what did you say” asked Nathan .
“I accepted” I said
“What?” Sonia shouted
“No you didn’t Kimberly” Nathan said as he walked towards me and raised my face to his. “ He just wants your body that’s what he does to almost all the girls in school . Nathan explained
“He said he wants us to be friends” that’s all not his girlfriend at list not yet and I think I really need that to clear my head . I said.
“ Clear your head from what Kimberly”Sonia asked .
“Chill ok let’s just go home please it’s nothing serious besides I don’t like him I never have” I grabbed my bag and they followed me.
