Chapter Seven
I found the boys in the sparring room; everyone was getting antsy with the coming up test results. The girls were each 3 months pregnant. And it seems that with the time frame the babies could possibly be both of the princes. The boys were freaking out, barely leaving my side, so of course I was surprised that they weren’t waiting for me after the mandatory generals meeting.
Both boys lacked a shirt as they either blocked an attack or made an attack; this allowed me to watch as their muscle clenched and unclenched. They had always been equals to each other in strength, with their different personalities canceling each other out. Before all the drama happened, it had been one of my favorite pastimes watching as they tried to best each other. It seemed that had not changed one bit.
I quietly moved to one of the chairs as my eyes never left their movement. Asher was the first to notice me as Tristian was to focus in the actual match. I gave him a smile and he soon returned focus on the match itself. I felt some relief in knowing that they were mine again, and this time nothing in this world would take even a second away from me.
I don’t think they were actually worried about the fact that they might be parents, but the fact that I might leave them if it was confirmed that they were going to be parents of children that weren’t birth by me. I have tried my best to curve that thought but I don’t believe they actually believe me. But for me, I would never let either of those girls to take another moment from me. And I don’t actually mind the fact that I might be a stepmother.
“What are you thinking about, pup,” my eyes bore into charcoal colored eyes, as my lips pulled to a smile.
“How wonderful our future will be,” I kissed his lips quickly pulling away so that I could give one to Asher who stood next to him.
Asher pulled me into his sweaty body, running his nose along my neck. His hold was unnecessary tight. I smiled as Tristian’s lips touched my forehead, pressing tightly. I don’t think they actually believed that we had a future until after the test results actually came out.
But for me, I was for once at peace and happy. I finally realized that I was loved, not just by my princes. But by my family, it was nice finally hearing what my family truly thought of me. I was in a really good place in my life, and nothing could take that away from me. Baby or no baby, my future was right here in the arms of these males, my mates.
“Let’s get something to eat,” Asher spoke as he reluctantly pulled away.
“Yes, let’s go home and cook like old times,” with a smile I grabbed both their hands as we exited the training room.
After the three of us showered in separate bathrooms, we managed to cook a meal and make a mess of it.
“I’m not doing the dishes,” I announced as I handed out plates.
“I forgot how messy we are,” Asher laughed as I took a seat in between the two males.
“It was worth it though,” Tristian smiled as he took a bite, only to scoop up some more and placed it in front of my mouth. I hummed as I took the offered food, the simple food of sausage and white rice that should not have made such a mess, was amazing.
“Definitely worth it,” I smiled as we ate and talked about our day.
It was late into the evening and I had my back against Asher’s chest and my legs over Tristian’s legs as we relaxed in the living room. Asher’s clawed hands ran through my hair almost lulling me asleep when Trinity and Serenity invited themselves in.
They sat in the two seaters; Serenity was holding a large envelope in her hand.
“The results are in,” Trinity finally spoke, as I felt the two boys stiffen under me. I didn’t move as I nodded for the two women to move it along.
“So basically, Sylvia’s child is not yours Asher. However, Cerena’s child is yours Tristian,” Trinity finally spoke.
“We will get a nursery done once we know the gender,” I spoke to Trinity and Serenity. “have the courts draw paper to petition for primary custody, with visitation.”
Trinity and Serenity nodded as they got up; Serenity stopped smiling at Tristian, “It will work out just fine, Tristian. Terra loves you.”
With that said Serenity and Trinity left. It was quiet as the princes processed all the information. I stood up to stretch and felt their eyes on me as I turned to them.
“It’s getting late, let’s go to bed,” I smiled as I walked up the stairs both boys following me.
Tristian had basically become a moping cat the last couple of days. It was annoying because as long as I have known the dragon, he never moped about anything. He was a prince, a very spoiled prince, that got everything he wanted. Maybe this was not ideal, but the fact was that Cerena was pregnant and it was what it was.
“Damn it, Tristian,” I finally growled as Tristian tried to avoid me by turning to a different hall way. I stomped toward him and grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him into the nearest room.
“I swear to god, if you continue to avoid me, I am telling your parents,” I shouted.
“I am not avoiding you, I just…” Tristian growled as he attempted to speak but couldn’t find the correct words.
“Tristian, you are about to be a father s**t happens, I cannot fault you in that.” I sighed. “At the time you and Cerena were together, I am okay, I am not going anywhere.”
“It was supposed to be you,” Tristian finally said. “It was always supposed to be you. Whenever I thought of children. It was you, with the swollen belly that I would rub. It was you that would smile down at our child. Even when I was with Cerena, under her spell. When it came to children, it was still you. It was the only thing that I had that showed that I was still faithful to you, that proved to me that a spell was not as strong as my love for you.”
I threw myself into his arms, “It still proves it Tristian. It is not your fault, Tristian.”
