Chapter Five I found the prince in their shared office, also in the office was Sylvia and Cerena. Sylvia and Cerena were pretty women and I could see why the boys had gone for them. The twins were almost identical with perfect tanned skin and the softest brown curls falling down from their heads. There was no reason that they should have had to use a spell to capture any male’s attention. It was just their errors that they wished for males whose hearts belong to someone else. Asher and Tristian hadn’t even showed the faintest of interested in either of the girls. “Can I bother you if you’re not busy,” Finally making my present known to the four occupants. Both males jumped as if they had gotten caught doing something they were not supposed to do. A smile pulled at my lips as they made their way to me. “Terra,” Asher first spoke moving towards me, but stopped as if afraid to get to close to me. “A moment of your time please,” I asked again, looking at them both. “Alone.” “Of course,” Tristian spoke dismissing the two others with a wave of his hand. I eyed them as they walked passed me in a huff. “They are only with you out of pity, anyways.” Cerena whispered as she passed me and out the door. “What did she say,” Tristian demanded. “Nothing worth repeating,” I smiled as I motion to their small seating area. I sat in the love seat and the boy sat across from me in the much longer couch. “I am sorry about the other day,” I spoke as I looked at their hurt eyes. “Everything was happening so fast, I was so angry, I took it out on all of you.” “But it is true, isn’t it,” Tristian asked. “I would not joke about that even in anger,” was the only answer I could provide. “God,” Asher just about cried, as his hands covered his face. Tristian would not even look at me. “It was just a moment of weakness, I have never thought of doing anything like it after.” I promised, I moved to stand in front of them. “You are not to blame; my family is not to blame.” “But you went through with it,” Tristian accused. “You jumped.” “I did,” running my hand through my loose hair. “You were never supposed to find out.” “You were just going to lie to us,” Asher shouted as he stood up. The emotion in his eyes clashed like the heavy waves hitting against the cliff’s walls. “Can you blame me,” I asked calmly trying not to push either of the males, “Tristian can barely look at me, and you look like your about to explode.” “Because you are still protecting us,” Asher shouted, he gripped my arms and he laid his head in my chest. “We are supposed to protect you, it is our job. But we weren’t even there, how am I supposed to live with that.” “By my side of course,” I answered as I looked at Tristian who finally looked at me. “if you stay by my side it is enough.” Asher’s knees hit the ground as he wept into my stomach, his arm wrapped around my waist impossibly tight, as my fingers entangled in his black strains. “Tristian,” I spoke. “I don’t deserve you,” he spoke not moving from his seat. “In your eyes no one deserves me,” I countered. It was a long understanding that Tristian believe that I was some angel, and he was undeserving to even be near me. “But I love you so much Tristian, I have had to spend a year and a half without my heart. Please,” I bit my lips as the water threaten to fall. “Do not make me wait another second.” I was in his arms before those words finished leaving my mouth. His lips pressed against the side of my head; my free arm wrapped around his waist. “I don’t know what could pull me away from such a perfect being,” Tristian whispered. “Yeah about that,” I nervously laughed. This was not going to go over well with them. “Maybe we should continue this discussion at home.” I guarded the door as Tristian attempted to leave the house. “Let’s talk about this, yeah,” I asked. “A year and a half of our life, Terra move,” Tristian shouted. “You almost died,” Asher added. “Yeah but I didn’t,” I added. Watching him as he slowly inched to the back door. “They will explain themselves,” Asher demanded. “You are thinking with your hearts, but I need you to think like the Kings I know you can be,” I shouted stopping them from the decision from divide and conquer. “Don’t you think I want their blood on my hands. But they are puppets, someone else is controlling them. And they will not stop just because a setback, we are not just lovers. You are next in line to rule our people, to guide them. My job is to protect those people, we can’t just act without a plan.” “But Terra,” I shot a glare at Tristian. “The king, my father and all of the generals are already in a meeting,” I replied. “A plan is getting set as we speak, we cannot let it be known that we know what they have done. We must get a hold of the source.” “A year and a half,” Asher reiterated. My hand touched Tristian’s cheek, “We have to be smart about this. And you running there to do whatever you are thinking of doing is not going to fix us. I love you and I want to go back to the old us. But it’s not going to happen overnight.” My thumb rubbed over his cheek bone as I looked at Asher, “And violence is not going to fix it either. You are angry, and I get that. But this is not the way, Asher.” “Then what do we do, how can we fix this,” Asher asked. As I finally pulled away from them. “You remember when we were kids, before we started to have s*x. We were happy then too, we will start from there and we will progress slowly back to what we were.” I smiled as I sat on the couch and patted to the side of me, and they plotted down next to me.
