We make another tomb for Madison. Her death is so swift that it’s only Tia and Gale who are with her when she’s dying.
Gale is breaking down and Tia is trying to calm him down. With the loss of Hank, now he even loses Madison. They’ve been together for the longest time. And I am not sure how he will rebound from this.
“It should be me...” Gale whispers. Tia massages his back and he repeats, “Hank is no longer here, so it should be me.”
I wipe my sweat. Charlie and Phil are helping by laying Madison on the ground. If I win this Game, I’ll ask to have these corpses safely buried outside the Game area.
Nance and Damien are in the shade. Their wounds are not completely healed yet, but they can help Gale around the house. They act as his emotional support as well.
