Chapter 21~Moving Forward!
MJ went back to his room to wait for her. Selena was waiting nervously for Chris to get back with her brother. She hoped she and Chris would always be friends.
But it might not end up that way. After all he was in the band he was sure to leave now. Her father was going to be furious once he found out. But Selena knew she had to follow her heart.
She could not keep MJ in the dark. And not keep having women throwing themselves at him. She hated seeing that. She could not keep doing this. He could not keep doing this. They both deserved to be happy. Selena smiled. MJ said he loved her at last! She knew it.
She loved him.
With all her heart.

"Selena I am back! Your brother is a pig" laughs Chris as he enters the room.
"Chris we need to talk" Selena says softly.
He comes over to sit beside her on the bed. "I can see what is wrong?" he asks.
"Chris this is not easy for me" she begins to blubber. Tears fall. He hands her a tissue.
"Do you want to go home? I will tell MJ" offers Chris.
"No no that is not it" she sniffs.
"What is going on?" he asks.
"It is over. I do not want to marry you" she softly begins. She hands him the rings. "it has felt like this for a long time. Before MJ came along. And I got right back into life"
"Selena..." he groans.
"Chris you feel it to I know you do. We grew apart" she adds.
"We can work on that" he tells her.
She shakes her head. "No!"
"MJ?" he demands to know.
"Yes" she trembles. "we love one another"
"I knew something was going on. Did you cheat on me?" he snaps. "How long? How stupid am I?"
"Chris we never slept together. We waited" says Selena.
"How noble of you two" snaps a bitter Chris.
"Chris this is not easy for me" adds Selena. "I care about you"
"Like it is easy for me?" he adds.
"Chris you have been drinking since my accident. And hiding it. Not well though" she sighs. "you told my dad you would stop"
"So I lied" he grumbles. "I am human"
"I am to. I can't help who I love" adds Selena. "I am sorry"
"Me to. You can tell your family. I am going home tonight" says Chris. He packs his things as Selena cries.
"I am so sorry Chris" she blubbers.
"Sure you are. I am to. Goodbye Selena" he angrily says as he storms out of there with his stuff.
Selena cries for a moment. AB comes in.

"What the hell is going on? You broke up with Chris?" he exclaims.
"You do not understand" says Selena.
"We need a band do you not understand that?" he adds.
"Don't you care about what is best for me?" snaps Selena.
"I do but you only think about you, not about the band or Chris or this family! All you think of is you Selena" snaps AB with anger. "I am done. You tell dad. That is not my job" he grumbles. "I am sure Suzette already knows" he says as he leaves the room.
Selena dries her tears. She makes a call. Then she finds a way to tell everyone her news that she was going to be with MJ. Not Chris. This was her life. Not theirs. She should be happy. MJ made her happy.
Then she went to MJ's room.
"Baby come in" says MJ.
She wanders in. Then turns on the little radio in the room.

"Shh listen MJ" she demands.
"This just in from Selena herself! She and Chris have broken up. She is now with Michael Jackson the king himself! They are dating. They fell in love on tour. Here is what she has to say!" announces the dj.
"My family and friends do not know this is the best way to tell them. I love MJ and he loves me. I care for Chris but not the way I used to. I hope one day he will forgive me. And we can be friends. But I am happy. And I am moving on with Michael. He is moving on with me. I am happier then I have ever been in my life" says Selena on the speaker.
"You heard the gossip here folks! Selena and MJ are indeed dating!" the dj says.
Then Selena turns down the radio.
MJ whoops with joy. He pulls her in his arms. Twirling her around in them.
"Selena I am so happy thrilled!" he adds.
"Me to. I know I made the right choice" she says.
"How did your dad take it?" he asks.
"I have not talk to him yet. Just AB" says Selena.
"Oh" sighs MJ.
"He loves your music. He likes you so much. I am sure he will be thrilled for us" Selena explains.
"You think so?" asks MJ.
"I know so" Selena lies. She was not sure how her dad was going to take this news. He did not like it when she dated Chris. Let alone MJ.
"Want to stay in my room tonight? We do not have to do anything. I have not taken you on a proper date yet. We can stay in. Cuddle. And pig out" adds MJ.
"I love that idea. Whatever you want to do" she sighs.
"Or do you want to go talk to your family?" he worries.
She should but she was not ready yet to face them.

"Not yet. Let's stay in. I need you tonight MJ" she says.
"You have got me Selena" he vows.
He leans in kissing her. She melts in his arms.
"We are finally together" she sighs. "I feel so free"
"Me to. Can I ask something?" he wonders.
"Sure" she agrees.
"I do not share well. I want us to only be dating us. No one else. I wont date anyone else you will not. Agreed?" he asks hopefully.
"Agreed. I hate seeing women fling themselves in your arms. I hate it so much" she admits.
"Same way I felt with Chris around you" he adds.
"Poor MJ. No more hiding. It feels so good huh?" she asks.
"Sure does" he tells her. He touches her cheek with his hand.
"Now we move forward." She says.
"Together!" he says in agreement before they kiss once more.
