Painful day

Nyssa pov.

I was awakened by an alarm, 6:30 a.m., time to get up, breakfast, and school. The beginning of the school year, and that's where my troubles begin. I’m not one of the popular girls, actually I am but not the way I would like. I was interrupted by the sound of a knock on the door.

-Nyssa I'm Any I come in, are you dressed or not?

Any is my best friend, she’s two months older than me, my light at the end of the tunnel. Blonde, big blue eyes, small body but very loud voice. Her mother is a witch and her father a werewolf, when she turned 18 she did not shift into a werewolf, she had to choose whether she would be a wolf or a witch. The day at school went surprisingly well. Until on the way home in the parking lot I met Theo and his company. I thought I would go unnoticed but that was impossible. Ella noticed me.

-Hey, you fatty, let's talk a little. -she said, laughing with Stephanie.                                                                                  -Ella, actually she's not fat, she has a pretty good body. -David said, scanning my body.

All eyes were on me, and Ella growled.

-If you'd ever seen a good female body, you wouldn't say this fat scarecrow is pretty. -she replied angrily and jealously.

-Oh Ella, we all know that more than half of the boys saw you naked, that's why he's saying it now. - I answered confidently.

The boys laughed and Ella was furious.

Halfway to the house I heard footsteps behind me, I hurried but those footsteps were getting closer and closer, until they caught up with me. He grabbed my elbow tightly and turned to face me. I met horrible dark green eyes.

- Who do you think you are to be so rude to Ella? - a sharp and angry voice told me.

-Please let me go, you're hurting my arm. - I said painfully.

- Your words hurt her too. She is Betta's daughter and my future Luna. And she deserves your respect, whether you like it or not. -he said cold.                                                                                                                                                  

 At that moment I felt tears in my eyes but I didn’t let them fall.                                                                                         - Are you really telling me that? I said angrily and pulled my elbow out of his hand.

- Watch how you talk to me, I'm your Alpha! -Theo replied angrily.

- No, you're not, your father is my Alpha. And when you become that I will be far from here! I would never be part of your pack, I'd rather die! - I said defiantly.

-What?! - His eyes flashed.

- You heard me, you're selfish, rude, and even stupid. You attack me, and you know very well that Ella insulted me, all this time you insulted me, you, Ella and everyone, all this time I am silent, now if I defend myself then you are even worse. Why? I came home red-faced from tears and wind. Mom was sitting on the couch reading a book. She looked at me and jumped.

- Honey, what happened to you? -she asked worriedly.

- Same as always, Mom, they hate me. - I said with tears.

She knew what was going on, and she tried to fix it but those attempts only made things worse.

-Oh baby, I'm so sorry. What should I do, how can I help you? -she asked, hugging me.

- Please, can we get out of here? -I asked, knowing the answer.

- We talked about it, you know this is the only place where your father will never look for us.

- Is there at least a chance to move out of this house? I don't want to be there anymore, please talk to Alpha, let him give us that house by the river.

- All right, I'll talk to him tomorrow. Now go take a shower in the hot water and I'll make you some hot chocolate by then. -she told me with a smile and kissed my forehead.

Theo pov.

We were in the parking lot when Nyssa came. Ella saw her and immediately started teasing.

-Hey, you fatty, let's talk a little. - She and Sephanie laughed.

-Ella, actually she's not fat, she has a pretty good body. - I heard David talking. To be honest and she’s not fat, she has a handsome body, only we always tease her that she’s fat because her body developed before other girls.

Ella was angry to hear that, I wonder how David stayed alive. Their laughter pulled me out of my thoughts. Everyone was laughing and Ella was hurt, I could see the shame on her face.

- We all know that even a dog buries bones, right? - Nyssa said and went on. The boys whistled and laughed at Ella. I was annoyed by their behavior, how they dare to laugh at my girlfriend.

-What is happening? What's so funny? - I demanded that they answer me.

-Nyssa insulted me, she insulted my honor. - Ella answered by making a face.

The boys ran away, and Ella went shopping with Stephanie to cheer herself up a bit. I was on my way home when I saw Nyssa in front of me. My anger increased, I had to place authority over her. I grabbed her elbow tightly and turned to face her.

If a man had told me that without thinking I would have killed him. I yelled at her, and she added a few more things to flame without hesitation. The moment she asked me what she had done to make me hate her, tears rolled down her cheeks. It was hard for me to watch her cry and I was mad at myself at that moment. But my anger went in the wrong direction.

I threatened her that she should never behave like that again because I would hurt her another time. I don't know why I said that, stupid pride I guess.

-Like you can hurt me even more. -she shout.

Those words pierced my heart like a sword. I ran home and locked myself in the room so I wouldn’t meet her when she came back.

I thought about her all night. Why my father took them in a pack, everything would be better off without her, that thought made me uncomfortable. It bothered me as much as the thought of her crying eyes. I’m really a jerk, since I know for myself we’re kidding her, didn’t we ever think it might bother her, or did we but we didn’t care? Why am I even thinking about her now? Why her tears hurt me? The thought that came to my mind was crazy. No, no, impossible, I can't like her, I've been with a lot of girls, actually with everyone except her. But why? She is not ugly, she is beautiful, she has beautiful eyes, lips that call you to kiss them, perfect curves. From those thoughts, my pants became tight. I have to stop thinking about her or I’ll get myself in big trouble.

- You hate her, she has no chance with you. Ella is your mate and there is no one but her. - I said entering the cold shower.

To be honest, I was never faithful to Ella, I never really even loved her, she knows it all and is still with me, but because everyone is convinced (even me) that she is my Luna.

My inner wolf Jake wasn’t thrilled with my behavior towards Nyssa. He didn't want to go out all day and now that I'm nervous he still has to add fuel to the fire. When Ella is near Jake withdraws, he doesn't love her, if she is our mate he will have to accept her.

- Why are you such a jerk? Isn't that how he treats a girl? Didn't you learn anything? - Jake taught me a lesson.

- You haven't been out all day, what do you want now? I don't need your opinion. - I replied angrily.

-I don't accept her as our mate, she's shallow, stupid and easy. She slept with everyone. -he growled.

He was right Ella wasn't the brightest, and the truth slept with everyone.

-So what? I slept with all the girls too. That means nothing. - I snapped.

- So you're a fool, I'm ashamed of you. -Jake answered and pulled back.

He was right, Ella slept with everyone, and if she’s my mate, she won’t exactly flatter me having a slut for Luna.
