Chapter 8 “We have it,” Tino announced almost two weeks after he had first seen the building he wanted for the teen shelter. Despite some misgivings that they were taking on too much, too soon, Kingston had agreed that with winter coming, another shelter was needed for kids under the age of eighteen. As he put it, “A safe place, not only in bad weather, but all year around, where they can escape for a while from the problems they have to deal with on the streets.” At his suggestion, Tino had handled all the negotiations.
